Angelo Poffo Passes Away :(
 

According to Lanny Poffo's website and a few other sites, they are reporting that Angelo Poffo - father of both Lanny "The Genius" Poffo and "Macho Man" Randy Savage - has passed away. He was 84.


Darn, R.I.P. Angelo. :(

If it wasn't for Angelo, Randy and Lanny (arguably) would not have had careers in the business. He really pushed the crap out of them in ICW and gave them the experience they needed to get ahead - not to mention Randy's break in Memphis, introducing Liz to Randy, etc.

Spent the last 2 days watching the Macho Man DVD. Any contribution of Angelo was a godsend to wrestling fans. RIP.

It's crazy, because just 2 days ago I was saying how Angelo should get put in the HoF to my brother. Then this. I wish the best to his family, as Lanny is a really 100% class act guy and true genuine person.

Gonna be honest, I don't really know anything about him other than that rivalry Savage had with Flair back in 95 or something like that where Savage's Dad was involved.

But R.I.P. anyway. :(
