Why? I'm assuming it's so they have someone to appeal to the Latino population once Rey is gone? They have Dos Caras Jr. don't they? With all the luchadors WWE has pissed away, why wait till now to try to get them?

Ultimo Dragon
Juventud Guerrea
Psychosis
Super Crazy

I'm sure I'm missing a few here, but it's like wtf WWE?

NoRoolz 04-15-2010 09:59 AM

Would mark out for a Mexicools return.

LMFAO @ Juan Deers. That was Histarious. I thought that they would come out with Oranges and Socks and sell them on the street corner before the shows. That would have really made it even funnier. Granted the whole mexicools thing was very racially insensitive, it was funny as hell none the less.

Today I think WWE is trying to seriously get a greater share of the ever so powerful latin-american / south of the boarder market, and they wouldnt dare risk offending that group of people with a mexicool gimmick anymore. Which is why they are trying to find some luchadors who our south of the boarder compadres can relate to and get behind.

tjmidnight420 04-15-2010 01:41 PM

I don't even understand this. They can't utilize them so why bother? WWE doesn't even know how to put together a lucha libre match.

Luchadores = Ratings

True, but I can't help but feel that it's gonna be painful to watch...

parkmania 04-15-2010 02:05 PM

Anyone thinking this might just be a bit of a scam by PWR to try and get guys to sign up for their training academy?

tjmidnight420 04-15-2010 02:06 PM

Quite the possibility I'd say.

Nicky Fives 04-15-2010 03:57 PM

They just need little guys to job to Ezekiel when he returns..... I'm not getting excited for a CW Title return either.....

Sovereigntywillpr 04-15-2010 05:39 PM

they just want to sign all the good ones and not use them.

That way TNA can't build a great undercard ala WCW...

A) Because WCW's great undercard really saved their ass.
B) Parroting asinine things other people say about WWE's motivations in signing wrestler X, Y, or Z does not make you cool.

Lock Jaw 04-15-2010 09:07 PM

Lance Cade is going to put on a mask in hopes of being hired yet again.

What's the point of WWE signing new "Luchadores" if they're not going to get the exposure and opportunities they deserve?

Say what you will about WCW, but the Cruiserweights were AWESOME, entertaining as heck, and were a real pleasure to watch. They usually were put on the beginning matches of Nitro and the PPV's, and they would get the show rolling and would set the tone for the whole show, they would get the crowd fired up, alive...

...if WWE did this, maybe the crowds at their shows would be a little more alive...AND the cruiserweights would get their opportunities to shine and show what they can do. But they gotta let them wrestle as they usually do, not "Americanize" their style...let them keep the "Lucha Libre Style"...it'd be what got them there in the first place. If you see what WCW did, they not only let the "Luchadores" keep their usual style, but also their "personalities", their "characters"...their gimmicks. Don't change a thing, let them wrestle, and don't ridiculize them by having Big Show or something come in and wipe all of them out.

Neither does making said observation...

it's a fuckin' message board. If these are the types of batles you have to pick and choose between in you're daily life I feel really bad for that pathetic existance you'd call your life.

BillyBonez 04-15-2010 09:59 PM

WWE should hire amazon red I saw that lil dude in TNA back when it first started and wasnt so crappy and guy could MOVE

What's the deal with all these n00bs and the "this is a message board/you need a life" comebacks? Clearly these guys are way too cool for TPWW.

Appears somebody got their panties in a knot because I called them out on their lame-ass attempt to look cool.

Sovereigntywillpr 04-15-2010 10:23 PM

Juan you've never had a problem with me on justin tv...

I've been on TPWW since before most of these people knew(edit) about wrestling, I've been here since the 90's...

That being said, yes there have been a ton of new people the past few months with crazy post and similar "comebacks". I think this would have to do with the current audience the E caters too, that or a lot of spoof accounts.

PS: no this isn't a spoof acount(the random name would make it seem so, I didn't thinkothat would be the one to actually work out of all the failed atempts), this was just the first name out of a few dozen used trying to sign up affter not having an account for a few years.

Thunder Savage Go 04-17-2010 03:41 AM

a luchadore division on RAW would make me smile

dronepool 04-17-2010 03:49 AM

They need to bring back the cruiser-weight belt if they do that.

parkmania 04-17-2010 12:36 PM

I'd MUCH rather see the luchadores than The Luchagores.

Pretty sure that'd never work out.

Thunder Savage Go 04-18-2010 02:54 AM

Michael Cole would announce them like the divas "Smart Beautiful and Mexican"
