Why I think Ross and Heyman are TNA bound..

In Ross's meeting with the Carters, he explained that he couldn't work with Russo. Bischoff also has had reservations but has said that he's not against keeping Russo around as the shooting on their angle is good for business. It's not surprising he would say this as he believes Controversey creats Cash.

With Russo speculating that he's either done soon with TNA or moving to a different position, I expect to see Ross come in with HEYMAN and for them both to be on air and off air personalities.

I only hope that they go to a 3 person announce team and do not remove the current two. Taz makes a great heel like Lawler as he fits in the legendary but evil role that Lawler has played so well over the years. Heyman would be good to bring in other talent from the old ECW days like Sandman, etc.. With that, it'd bring good angles, hype, and a everlasting powerfilled roster.

If this happens, I can really see TNA moving to 3 hours and moving around the country on a monthly if not bi weekly basis instead of sticking around in Florida.

I'm not concerned with Bischoff or Hogans presence in TNA at this point as I expected it. I am a realist and I didn't expect TNA to turn around right away.

TNA shouldn't lose the UNDERDOG feel. Everyone loves an underdog. That's partly why WCW thrived and I feel that Hogan/Bischoff/Flair have done well to build up behind the scenes yet not put the bar too high or fast.

I hope to see Ross, Hardy, Shelton, Dreamer, Haas, Mickie James, and Heyman come over to TNA in the next two months.

If WWE wants to keep momentum up going into the summer, then they need to change things up as the CENA babyface angle is OLD.

Right.

How the fuck was WCW the underdog? They had more money, more established stars, and more of an ability to reach people. They had Ted Turner and two huge cable networks at their disposable.
WWF was easily the underdog when the war started, and even though they skyrocketed, they really always were.

Why is that so hard to understand?

My wish would include a lot of variables. I can't take your poll for instance.

If, Russo were to make an exit, if Hogan did not have creative control and if Dixie Carter weren't a stupid cunt then, I would love to see three people head to TNA.

Jim Ross as a PPV Announcer and backstage/road agent/talent scout. I love Jim and definitely think he'd improve the backstage environment which I assume is full of angry sweaty balls right now.

Jim Cornette because, he loves wrestling and cares about the business. I'd like him to be the assistant booker/backstage guy/in-ring manager. His knowledge is encyclopedic and his passion for the sport is nearly without competition.

Paul Heyman as head-booker/in-ring manager. Paul at his best is someone who can create stars, tell vivid stories and turn shit into gold. His ingenuity is impressive and many in the sport still worship him. He's had some time off and I think a return would be something that he might do and actually have fun with. I also enjoy his production style more than both TNA's and WWE's.

Does that mean I want him to rehash old ECW storylines? Of course, not. I'd like to build off from where TNA is now and improve what is in need of improving and provide for entertaining angles and character changes.

4 responses and not one 'Thanks for your take'. I'm feeling proud of TPWW.net tonight.

This would help TNA immensely, but it's not gonna happen anytime soon.

Thanks for your take, fella.

Paul Heyman is the only one that would make me tune in, if I weren't a loyal watcher already....

Ruien 04-29-2010 05:33 PM

Jim Ross, just to prove the point of never say never.

kareru 04-29-2010 05:38 PM

shelly martinez is looking to come back, good news for screech.

maybe if tna signed paris hilton and coco, heyman would be more inclined to join.

Mr. Pierre 04-29-2010 06:02 PM

Heyman. Because TNA has proved time and time and time again that a wrestling promotion have can have amazing wrestlers, but without DECENT writing at least, it means shit.

So my vote goes to Heyman, in an attempt to straighten things out and make use and SENSE of their television time that they're given.

Ermaximus 04-29-2010 06:06 PM

Another poll, yet another missing Loose Cannon option. WTF fella?

I'd watch for her, but only when she was on tv.

St. Jimmy 04-29-2010 06:19 PM

No one on this list. :y:

The Franchise 04-29-2010 06:37 PM

TPWW poster TheGoldStandard would tune in if Shelton joined TNA, so I went with him. Only guaranteed increase in viewership from this list. :p

If Heyman were to bring in old guys like the Sandman, that would hurt TNA even more. There's no need to add another washed-up drunk to an already over crowded roster. TNA needs to stop bringing in established guys and start building their own stars, or at least take WWE mid-card castoffs and turn them into main eventers.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-29-2010 08:34 PM

Heyman's not an idiot he wouldn't try build TNA around Sandman.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-29-2010 08:34 PM

They have needed to do this since 2008. TNA will never learn.

Lock Jaw 04-29-2010 10:02 PM

I am a realist as well.

Within the next 72 hours, I see Paul Heyman coming to TNA, bringing with him BROCK LESNAR because they used to be good buds, and they re-patched their friendship. Brock would then eat an entire block of cheese in the middle of the ring and blow WWE out of the water ratings-wise and boat-wise.

Mr. Nerfect 04-30-2010 01:13 AM

Paul Heyman as head writer for TNA would be an incredible, incredible thing. Heyman would instantly bring good will to the company from the internet community, which is great for word of mouth and that sort of stuff. He's got a great mind for the business, and I completely agree with whoever it was recently (might have been Rob Van Dam) who said that Heyman not only knows what people want now, but he knows what they will want in the future. He's the most contemporary and relevant of bookers.

Jim Ross being signed would actually be really big for them. As a PPV announcer, he would make a great addition to Mike Tenay & Taz's table. Even if you added him for live iMPACT!, as well. He would make a great talent relations guy for TNA, too. He brings with him a lot of knowledge, and a lot of respect. He'd almost legitimise TNA some more by just lending it his voice.

I don't think Matt Hardy is leaving the WWE, but if he does, signing him would be a good move. Having The Hardys together in TNA would be huge for them. A feud would Beer Money, Inc. and The Motor City Machine Guns would be tremendous. TNA should really focus on tag team wrestling, and Matt & Jeff Hardy would help tremendously with that.

The same thing goes for Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas. Bring them in as a tag team and offer what the WWE does not -- a proper tag team division. Matt Morgan is entertaining, but he needs to drop the tag straps to a tag team, ASAP. Benjamin & Haas could also supplement the singles divisions.

Mickie James would be a tremendous asset to TNA. She has a large fanbase, is hot, has other activities going on (which could be extra publicity), and she's an amazing female worker. It's a shame Tara is on her way out, as I'd love to see a psycho bitch vs. psycho bitch feud between the two. James is someone I would definitely try and get into the company.

Tommy Dreamer can still work. He has a great understand of the business, and he can cut a good promo. I see no use for him on-air, though. He might bring a few hardcore ECW nuts, I guess -- but I think they would already be watching for Rob Van Dam. I would not mind seeing Tommy Dreamer help develop younger talent or get signed as a road agent, though. But I'd rather see D'Lo Brown step out from behind the scenes and return to the ring over Dreamer.

Fox 04-30-2010 04:09 AM

I cannot see Paul Heyman and Hulk Hogan co-existing creatively. No way.

whiteyford 05-01-2010 04:12 PM

Matt Hardy, just because i dont watch TNA.

I voted for Haas though, just because noone else did and i felt bad for him, unemployed and zero votes just seemed cruel.
