Loving the classic look with the added mechanics. Kinda funny Rare's past classics are getting revamped for modern times while they make games about pinatas (just a rib, I respect Rare).

Don't like how it feels. Always confused on whether or not you will die by jumping on an enemy. When my friend and I played Donkey Kong Country 2 I spent like 2 hours trying to beat this level called Castle Crush. I don't know. Just don't like it

Thephysics were always a little different, but that's a big part of why I loved the series.

Fantastic game series. Never cared for DK64, and never played the GC one.

why did I first think this was the DK64 game for the 3DS?

Nice to see that its back to the old style and not that crappy 3d version.

I loved the original Donkey Kong Country because Nintendo Power sent a promotional video to my house about the making of Donkey Kong Country.

Yeah I have to say that, by that video, this is classic gaming with motion controls done right.

Hated the motion controls in NSMB Wii. They felt tacked on.

DK64 was awesome

Loved DK for the SNES. Played like 3 minutes of DK64 and turned it right off. Side scrolling for the win.

True. They're very different games obviously, just like Mario 64 was from the earlier games.
I thought it was pretty great though. I loved Banjo Kazooie a whole lot, which was very similar.

I posted this in the E3 thread but it's been confirmed that K.Rool and the Kremlings wont be in DKCR. Miyamoto thought it would be better to have new enemies and Retro went along with it. The new enemies are Tikis and random animals like moles dressed as miners.

No water levels in this game.

Playing in single player, you can only play as Donkey Kong. Diddy will pop up here and there in certain levels to help out. I'm guessing like Yoshi in NSMBW.

I can live without underwater levels but it sucks K.Rool isn't in. DKC is all about Kongs vs Kremlings. If they called it Donkey Kong: Rise of the Tiki or Donkey Kong: Tiki Trouble, fine because we know what to expect but calling it DKCR sounds as though it's going to be a continuation of DKC when it's actually a whole new story/series.

I smell you on that.

Also, WTF @ no single player Diddy. Some of us don't have friends. Not me specifically, but you know. :shifty:

When will Funky Kong be playable? He was always my favorite of them all. Last I saw of him he had hung up his surfboard and was working as an arms dealer in DK64

Funky Kong was my favourite for rather obvious reasons.
