SCSA not the GM

- As mentioned before, WWE teased Steve Austin as being the anonymous General Manager on last night's RAW. Austin sometimes Tweets during RAW but didn't last night. However, he wrote the following after the show: "busy all day folks...working on a project to be shot in Vancouver in a few weeks....more details later...gonna hit the hay..good night."

Fans bombarded Austin's account with comments and about him being the General Manager and the teasers on RAW. Austin replied: "I missed it but it sounds like It was an interesting RAW."

As noted before, sources indicate that WWE does not have Austin planned as the General Manager.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-06-2010 02:51 PM

Those tweets don't really give any information. I hope that's not the evidence the sources are going on.

How can he be the anonymous GM and NOT watch the show?

#BROKEN Hasney 07-06-2010 02:54 PM

Thank you for this unsourced copy and paste citing anonymous sources. I'd be more inclined to believe that he was after reading that "article". Especially with a tweet that says nothing one way or the other.

Now there's a 4% chance in my head it's Austin, up from 0%.

Pretty easily, since I'm 100% sure that the real GM was not typing messages to Michael Cole live as the show went on.

Bret didn't watch the show where he was announced to face The Miz, and he WAS GM.

I refused to believe that Dr. Perfect was inferring that as no human being could be that retarded.

LMAO

Supreme Olajuwon 07-06-2010 02:57 PM

I don't think Austin is the GM at all, but I'm just saying this isn't very convincing evidence.

Lock Jaw 07-06-2010 02:57 PM

I admit it, I just added in those little Austin lines to see if I could spark a "spaz out".

Supreme Olajuwon 07-06-2010 02:57 PM

SPECIOUS REASONING, if you will

Are people actually going to fall for it when the mystery GM starts saying things about the roster knowing their role and smelling what he's cooking next week?

I will only believe a GM's catchphrase when it says "yep yep yep, what it do".

The Pope 07-06-2010 03:01 PM

I didn't watch RAW, so I'm the GM now... According to you.

That's what I assume will happen, but it's a pretty risky gamble on WWE's part to tease the return of their company's biggest stars, unless they have an equally big star lined up.

Jeritron 07-06-2010 03:03 PM

Well, they've already teased Austin, so unless it ends up being him or The Rock, they've already made that gamble and set up for the letdown

#BROKEN Hasney 07-06-2010 03:04 PM

If it's HHH, WWE won't see that as being a let-down despite bigger names being teased.

Jeritron 07-06-2010 03:05 PM

I'm sure they will tease The Rock next week, and probably someone else. Maybe Shawn Michaels.
It will end up being HHH.

Unless by some outside chance it was The Rock or Shawn Michaels, in which case they wouldn't tease them. It will not be them though. And it will not be Danielson. Are people out of their minds?

Supreme Olajuwon 07-06-2010 03:06 PM

Triple H and HBK have both been in charge before. It's been done.

Innovator 07-06-2010 03:06 PM

Is everyone the leader of the Funky Bunch?

Are you saying that makes it any less likely that it will be HHH?

I would bet all my marbles on him being revealed as this mystery GM. Who are the other possibilities?
The Rock is a longshot. Danielson is pure wishful thinking from the internet. I don't know who else is even a legitimate candidate.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-06-2010 03:10 PM

nah youre probably right

just saying things

Random celebrities who will hang around for a few months?

Jeritron 07-06-2010 03:11 PM

I would love it to be The Rock but I can't see it happening. If they hint at it at all next week or whenever, we can rule it out.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-06-2010 03:15 PM

JR would be acceptable IMO

Jeritron 07-06-2010 03:18 PM

Isn't WWE's whole issue that JR is too old fashioned and old aged to be calling their product?
Didn't they want to phase him out to move in another direction with their new business model?

If this is the case I don't see why they'd take him off commentary for that reason, and then make him the focal point of a major storyline on camera.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-06-2010 03:23 PM

They don't necessarily have to take the GM angle to a point where the GM is a heel or a face getting mixed up in storylines. They could just as easily bring it back to the Tunney/Monsoon days where the guy in charge was just a neutral authority figure. And JR would make a great authority figure.

#BROKEN Hasney 07-06-2010 03:25 PM

I thought he was too much of an uggo for TV as well and he has to be revealed in the flesh sometime.

Hoping for evil heelish bearded Tony Schiavone.

Jeritron 07-06-2010 03:26 PM

Maybe it will be Stephanie

parkmania 07-06-2010 03:34 PM

Unfortunately we can rule out Jericho, as he was at ringside when some of the GM announcements were made last night.

he was texting his announcements

Verbose Minch 07-06-2010 04:31 PM

WHAT THE FUCK?

Thank you for ruining Austins return, thank you for ruining what would have been my only mark out moment in a year.

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU TYPE "SPOILERS" WHEN YOU TYPE WHAT THE SPOILER IS RIGHT BESIDE IT!!!!!!!!!

Now I know Austin is confirmed, he is my favourite wrestler, hearing his damn music hit would have made me mark out so bad, but no, you have to fucking ruin it, couldn't you make the title "Raw GM major spoilers" alone? Seriously man, use your goddam brain. Why mark for spoilers when the spoiler is right beside where you mark for spoilers.

Fuck this shit, you're not the only one who does it, so many people do, i am out of the fucking wrestling forum besides for tipsters until this storyline is over, see you all April July 12th.

BizarroKing 07-06-2010 04:46 PM

Next week it'll be The Rock. The week after, it'll be Shawn Michaels, and then they will tease it's Triple H. Finally, Michael Cole will admit he was making it all up and that he's the GM.

And then they reveal it was actually Vince McMahon all along.
