The "Everyone Forgot About Impact" Thread

Yeah.

Not watching, thought I'd start the thread though.

blake639raw 07-29-2010 10:47 PM

lol @ nobody posting in the Impact thread. I watched a few minutes. God, TNA has had some good shows this year, but damn, right now they're absolute crap.

Droford 07-29-2010 10:56 PM

I got a kick out of them referencing Fourtune not being "a pissed off band off rookies".

also I wonder if Styles is going to get a TV Title belt now that the Global one is the TV title.

and watching Tommy Dreamer wrestle is just sad

VSG 07-29-2010 10:57 PM

I totally forgot there was Impact tonight. Ah screw it, I will watch an illegal stream of the ppv but that's it. If the jew gave up, what can I say?

Droford 07-29-2010 11:00 PM

I wouldnt say there was anything memorable..

The Tag Cage match was predictable since you knew MCMG would win to "stave off elimination"..it wasnt that bad but not as good as the ladder match was.

Watching Hardy and Anderson beat up the Security guards..why are they doing the "security guards wrestling" angle again?

and this Abyss/Dreamer match is just sad to watch..though its always fun to see Raven beating on Tommy Dreamer I guess.

VSG 07-29-2010 11:03 PM

I thought Raven was on Dreamer's coalition thingy?

Aguakate 07-29-2010 11:05 PM

TNA has no NORTH. They're just doing alot of different things, at the same time, at various stages, to see if something works...if they "strike gold" so to speak...

...but that's not the way to do things.

Af if TNA thinks that having hardcore matches is the answer, they're wrong about that too.

The Pope 07-29-2010 11:09 PM

No north???

Raven never looked particularly happy about being involved in it so maybe he's pissed off Tommy drug him out of whatever hole he was living under to do it.

Also, Raven needs to dye his hair back. Blond Raven doesn't look right..at all.

The Pope 07-29-2010 11:16 PM

TNAwrestling.com has received word from Tommy Dreamer that Balls Mahoney, Axl Rotten and Johnny Swinger have all been added to HardCORE Justice on August 8!

Schlomey 07-29-2010 11:17 PM

Oops I coulda sworn today was Wednesday. I sat this evening bored thinking to myself..it's Wednesday so there is no wrestling tonight I guess I'll skip getting on TPWW for a bit.

I really, really try to defend tna but they make it damn difficult sometimes. The cage match was great.A summer series has been tradition in wrestling for a while, and this one is up there with the best imo.matt Morgan and Anderson had a good segment. The knockouts did ok.My biggest problem lately is that they change things way too much, too soon.from title names to heel/face changes, ppv themes, days their on t.v. and what shows, and whatever the shit eric young was doing tonight. It's russo wrestling and everyone is sick of it.The security guards are right out of his playbook.I give Impact a 6.5 for the cage, fortune getting in a dig at nexus, and for a raven/dreamer throwback moment.

Juan 07-30-2010 01:25 AM

We might as well have Superstars threads every Thursday also.

owenbrown 07-30-2010 01:37 AM

So has Hogan Fingerpoke of Doomed the TNA World Title on himself yet?

Yea, Beer Money and MCMG are still the best teams in tag wrestling today. I didnt "hate" the Anderson/ Morgan angle either.

Side note, the two "random security guards" looked better in the ring/ in better shape than most of the TNA roster. Who were they? They look oddly familiar

Aguakate 07-30-2010 02:11 AM

I don't know if the "barbed wire on the board" really WAS barbed wire, or if it was fake, but Abyss threw Dreamer on it and then went for the cover, with barbed wire all around him, and didn't seem to mind...

...I thought "Hmm, the barbed wire is so dangerous that Abyss just throws himself on it".

Droford 07-30-2010 02:21 AM

Oh yeah, I definitely bet that Al Snow had some role in getting EY the mannequin angle, it reaked of HEAD

Plus EY putting his arms up in an X for the mannequin when it was torn limb from limb was hillarious...

Well that sucks. Three of my least favorites of all time sounds awful. Swinger was never good at least i never saw a match of his that was good. Balls and Axl are just two of the worst ever. If those two aren't swinging a chair they're at a lost cause.

Steveviscious89 07-30-2010 11:08 AM

I didn't forget about Impact. I just had to miss some of it because I was talking on the phone to a prospective roommate. You know I'm always trying to defend TNA as well. And you know what, I will still defend TNA.....it's Eric Bischoff I have a hard time defending right now. Does anybody remember the last time he and Russo were working for the same company? Once upon a time Bischoff was the man, but he got tunnel vision and screwed it up. It looks like the same thing is happening here. He's letting Russo run out of control with some bad scripting and it needs to be kept in check. Honestly, since Hogan and Bischoff have come in, I haven't seen near as much change in the product as I thought there would be going in.

K, I'll start making them.

Anybody Thrilla 07-30-2010 11:19 AM

I knew Impact was on, but I opted not to record it on the DVR in favor of Jersey Shore. I wouldn't want my girlfriend to HAVE to watch one or the other. That would be cruel.

Anybody Thrilla 07-30-2010 11:19 AM

P.S.,

Superstars is a great show.

 I couldn't stop laughing either.... instead of breaking up the 3 count, he instead went to the aid of it.

Kane Knight 07-30-2010 02:02 PM

There were some good moments, but it wasn't particularly enjoyable.

DrCrawford 07-30-2010 10:54 PM

i really hate everything about abyss. if he went away i'd watch TNA more..

rated rjo 07-30-2010 11:04 PM

Maybe everyone forgot because IMPACT....you know....

watched it today. this is basically how i felt about it. :y:

The best match was easily the tag team cage match but apart from that it was pretty lack luster.

Gotta admit, I hate hearing him talk right now, and I hate everything about the angle he's involved with.

Abyss was entertaining, previous as a Kane/Undertaker/Mankind knockoff.

Then the little schoolgirl phase came. And the Hulkamania phase. And now the "They" phase.

Fuck's sake, and it's all kept him heavily in focus.

EV2.0 is also annoying, for different reasons. And combine the two....
