Skippy getting another chance
Ryan Reeves (Skip Shefield) was one of my favorite contestants on Tough Enough 3 and this hasnt been his first "set back" in the WWE. I remember after he got a contract after Tough Enough, he was released for some minor form of steriods. Then he was brought back and then popped again for the same thing. Now he was brought back the third time and he gets injured. WWE has released people for less, do you think he still come back again and gain the amount of momentum he had while apart of The Nexus?

I had no idea he was on Tough Enough.

Honestly, if he has to sit out for six months he could come back and get some steam by basically saying he's pissed off for Nexus turning their back on him when he got hurt and is going to take them down one by one (most members of Nexus will be jobbers by then anyways). This could culminate at Wrestlemania in a match between Skip and Barrett (who should be upper mid card if not main event at that time). He's decent on the mic and if they book him like Batista he'll be find.

Nexus will have lost all steam by the time he comes back. I doubt he'll make it back to the big show.

I don't mind Skip. He was the only one I liked from that Tough Enough. It's amazing how Miz was the runner up on that one but is probably the biggest thing to come out of tough enough along with John Morrison. Melina was part of tough enough too I believe. I am not a Melina fan at all as I feel she isn't good in the ring at all. Skip can be built up when he comes back from his injury. I think he could be built up like Batista; I don't think he would ever be as over as him but he definitely could be in that role. The problem is Otunga will most likey get the nod for a big push with Skip on the sidelines. This is all going to be a power struggle with Barrett and Otunga. Otunga will accidently cost Barrett the title at NOC and in my opinion would be great in finally creating tension in the Nexus. They need to split the Nexus up as I feel Tarver and Slater have no business being involved in a major storyline.

I'm sure he won't lose much steam when he comes back from his injury, as the company officials thought really high of him and the rest of the Nexus. I mean look at Big Zeke. He's been out for how long now? And they stil want to push him when he comes back.

Have a random big guy appear wearing a mask till Skippy is ok again and tear off the mask to reveal it was him all along ala Suicide style.

Heath Slater to his left, and The Miz to his right.
|
That's Daniel Rodimer to his left.
|
Lol.. You are right, I was wondering when Slater made it into TE4.
|
I heard Nexus might end in October...so Skip may have to get a fresh start.

Side note, what ever happen to him? |
I enjoy Skip Sheffield for some reason. His promos aren't flashy, but he's confident and he "cuts the crap" in a way that people can attach themselves to. In the ring, he's nothing great, but he's able to be carried and nothing offensive. He has presence, and he can be just chilling as a monster.
I think he'll get another chance, even if it is without Nexus. The WWE have kept him around this long (actually they released him and re-hired him back, but whatever). |
if he comes back, and he's a face, he needs to grow his hair back out. he looks so much better with it lol

Honestly, I didn't like at first with the whole cowboy gimmick. But when he changed it near the end of season 1 of NXT to more of the tough guy deal with the bike chain and the studded leather jacket. I actually started to like him more, not sure why...but I did, and like Noid said, he has confidence.
I actually think that if he's given a proper chance he could be quite a force to be dealt with. He's big and powerful and could easily dominate the heavyweight division. Do I ever see him as a WWE or WHC champ? Not sure, but definitely at least up to intercontinental or US champ. |
