Let's say Jericho and Angle retire...
 

Considering both Jericho and Angle are doing a "if I dont win the title I retire" angle, what do you think would happen if both of them retire? How much of an impact do you think it would have on both companies?

I will completely stop watching wrestling forever!!!

My question is, if Angle officially retires from wrestling, is there a chance WWE makes a "best of Kurt Angle" DVD? I'd buy it if they did.

Huge impact on TNA, not much impact on the WWE. We're talking about the WWE's product and image, not their matches. Those will obviously suffer.

If Kurt doesn't the title he should he retire and then a few months later return to WWE for at least 4 more title wins so he could beat ric flair's record and be a 17-time world champion

The way it is right now?...yup.

TNA would be up shit's creak. Angle is the best talent they have on the roster, and on top of that he's one of the biggest mainstream draws the company have. Would they survive? Yes. Would they be much worse for it? Damn right.

If Y2J retired, I think it would be a much more subtle impact. Firstly, one of their best, and most consistently over performers would be gone, but they have plenty of guys that could jump into Jericho's spot (not do it the same justice, however). But the problem would be that the WWE wouldn't have a guy who is both permanently over, and also willing to do the job for upcoming talent. Jericho is a guy whose laid down for both Wade Barrett and John Morrison in the last month, and he's still someone who, if he carries the title, would easily be the brand's top heel. He can feud with R-Truth, or headline Wrestlemania, and while that kind of performer may not be as missed at first, the hole he would leave would be tremendous

TNA will be impacted. WWE, being who they are, will continue barely noticed. Sadly.

It would be rather funny if both companies pulled it.

As much as this would suck and TNA wouldn't do anything different with him than they have every other major acquisition they've gotten from WWE - I could actually see Jericho going.

He'd have the work schedule he wants (a couple days every other week), allowing him to do everything else he wants to (Fozzy, TV, etc.)

Hope Angle goes to creative so we can finally get that Chris Sabin as Pig-Pen from Peanuts character.

I hope they get rid of Russo if they get angle, and hopefully make him booker as well.
