Raven & Joey Styles

Was there any underlying issues between Joey Styles and Raven? Styles always knocks him a bit and on this ECW show on WWE Classics, Tazz was like "You hate him, admit it!" and Joey just changed the subject.

Was it anything specific or was it Raven just being a miserable drug addict in general that rubbed Styles the wrong way?

I think it was because he jumped to WCW.

I thought it had something to do with the whole Crucifixion of Sandman angle. I remember seeing some interview back in 05 when all the ECW Reunions were in full effect and he seemed very disgusted/offended.

Loose Cannon 11-17-2010 10:53 AM

yea, you're right James. I forget where that was. Maybe it was on the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD. Maybe not. I do remember Angle talking about it on the DVD and he was pissed.

Is it true that Angle was at that show and about to sign with ECW until the crucifiction angle happened?

Think he said that in his book, remember reading it in someones book though it might have been Foleys or Funks. Sure it was brought up in by Heyman too when someone mentioned the Taker/Austin Crucifiction angle on Raw later and how Angle never complained about that one,

He must have changed his mind.... must have something to do with the considerably larger paycheque he was receiving....

You're both wrong, one of the three I's stood for integrity:shifty:

I think there is a difference between crucifying Sandman on a cross with a barbwire crown and crucifying Austin on a Wrestling logo with him looking pissed & WTF? at the same time.

I remember in that same documentary, Raven said it was stupid how people got mad. He made a joke about they should have done it on a Star of David and just rolled Sandman out of the arena. Funny image.
