Steam is ridiculously awesome with these sales. I don't get how they can do all this. I can understand the back catalog going on sale, but they sell current titles for dirt cheap in these sales.

Signed up for Steam the other day when I saw Spore was only £22.49 and securom free. Bought the Creepy & Cute expansion and the Galatic Adventures thing.

Also bought both Abe's Oddysey & Exodus and I'm just DL'ing Audiosurf now.

Spent like 30 bucks and got over a dozen games. Even bought recettear without thinking to check the system specs.

Oops.

Speaking of system specs, I used that "Can I Run It" website to see if I could run Spore before I bought it. It said I could run the game at full settings but when I play it on anything other than the lowest setting, it slows down to a crawl.
Same thing happens with Audiosurf if I go any higher than the 2nd highest setting or add any graphical filters like "paint" or whatever.

Upgrade drivers and see if that does anything.

Picked up Blood Bowl Legendary today. Considered Darkstalkers and Dead Rising 2, but I'll just wait for lower drops on the consoles.

Was just browsing through some indie games and saw The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom for 39p so grabbed it.

PB Winterbottom was a game I appreciated for its artistic style, but really didn't "love."

The Telltale Holiday Pack has me tempted btw, are the Sam and Max games any good?

I'm a huge Sam and Max fan. I've played all of the seasons, as well as Hit the Road, and they are a lot of fun. Certainly not difficult, but a nice three hours per episode for some good laughs.

Could be the UK store only, came up for me as £4.99, then reduced by £4.99.

Definitely gonna grab the Odd Box too, been waiting an age to play Stranger's Wrath.

I'd probably pick up the Oddbox if I didn't already purchase the two Oddworld games for like $2 when they were first released on Steam. Have Munch's Oddysee and not that interested in Wrath.

Should I pick up Borderlands? Is the GOTY worth it for $25?

Alone it seems repetitive and tedious after a while. It's much better with other people.

considered buying that package for $79. borderlands and DLC, bioshock 1 and 2, bunch of sports games including new ones like nba 2k11, and just a generally nice collection of games I wouldn't mind owning.
