Who do you think is the bigger household name in regards to pop culture/mainstream recognition/popularity? Stone Cold Steve Austin or The Iceman Chuck Liddell

Their respective careers are so similar. Mirror images of eachother.

I always looked at Chuck Liddell as the "Stone Cold Steve Austin of MMA"

In his prime, EVERYBODY knew who Steve Austin was. My cousin who hadn't been born yet knew who Steve Austin was.

Chuck Liddell... ummm... seriously... who outside of MMA and possibly pro wrestling has any idea who he is?

Steve Austin without a doubt. I mean certain people knew who Chuck was, but everybody and anybody knew about Austin.

When you've got non-fans of your sport talking about you then you're really well known. I don't know really of any non-UFC fans or wrestling fans talking about Chuck Lidell.

MMA is not a common sport/sports entertainment/whatever it is.

Yeah, UFC probably get a lot of PPV sales, but nobody outside of the MMA world really knows what UFC is.
