Mike Adamle charged with DUI...
 

Mike Adamle -- the longtime host of the original "American Gladiators" -- was arrested around 1AM Monday morning on suspicion of DUI ... and cops say he was acting so "erratic" they tested him for drugs.



Cops say 61-year-old Adamle -- a former Chicago Bears running back -- was pulled over after blowing through a stop sign in his 2002 BMW just outside the Chicago area. When cops approached the vehicle, they suspected Adamle had been boozing.

According to the Chicago Sun Times, Adamle failed a field sobriety test and was taken to a nearby police station... where he exhibited "erratic behavior" and was subsequently taken to a hospital for a drug screen. The results from the drug test are pending.

Adamle was eventually arrested and charged with disobeying a traffic control device, DUI and failing to notify the Security State's office of an address change.

Adamle is due back in court on Valentine's Day.

I had no idea Adamle was a Bears running back....I wonder if he used Jeff Harvey as his one phone call? Either way DUI's usually get you a WWE contract, so I'm guess Adamle will be announced as the Anonymous Raw GM...if Lockjaw allows it...

Didn't realize he was 61. Aged well.

I also didn't realize that he was an epileptic. Probably from taking one too many shots in the head as a runningback.

And yes, he does mess up while doing his sports reports too.

Kind of funny seeing one of my local sports reporters and remembering him both as a CHICAGO BEAR!!!! (Go Bears) and a WWE personality.

But he always talked like a drunk anyway, so not a shock.

I wonder if he was hanging out with Jeff Harvey during the time he was charged with this DUI

And yet nobody showed up to test him while he was announcing for Raw?

i was waiting for his DUI to suddenly gain more initials, like the wwe did when he turned it into "the WEDF"

Apparently they pulled him over to do a sobriety test and one of the questions where, "which wrestler is going to jail soon?"

He replied " Jeff Harvey." They assumed that his speech was slurred due to alcohol consumption

Was it a black copper that stopped him? so he replied 'Jamaican me crazy' and got arrested.

I wanna see the mugshot.

He prolly forgot the alphabet when asked.
