James Franco likes jobs.

Nark Order 02-27-2011 08:20 PM

I have this odd feeling that Annette Bening is going to win best actress but it should probably go to Natalie Portman or Michelle Williams. They've been really shoving this "The Kids Aren't Alright" thing down everybody's throats.

Blitz 02-27-2011 08:29 PM

Nah Portman will win. Though if anyone is gonna upset, it would be Bening.

Blitz 02-27-2011 08:58 PM

Kirk Douglas may have just gone into senility on stage, live.

Nark Order 02-27-2011 08:58 PM

I'm sorry, get that fucking guy off the stage.

Seth82 02-27-2011 09:05 PM

whose bright idea was it to let that old fossil Kirk Douglas on stage

He can't even talk right after the stroke

thedamndest 02-27-2011 09:16 PM

Aaron Sorkin does not care about your get off the stage music.

RoXer 02-27-2011 09:19 PM

@normmacdonald so massive strokes have no effect on comic timing

Nark Order 02-27-2011 09:19 PM

I'm assuming that this is the first phase of the King's Speech ball massaging plan.

lol

Nark Order 02-27-2011 09:23 PM

Any David Otunga sightings?

mitch_h 02-27-2011 09:23 PM

I want to ask Aaron Sorkin about where he buys his glasses. I have a feeling he would be like Jake Jarmell and be really protective about it

thedamndest 02-27-2011 09:24 PM

If he had anymore time he probably would have thanked his glasses guy.

RoXer 02-27-2011 09:26 PM

@normmacdonald Norm MacDonald
not exactly jack palance

@normmacdonald Norm MacDonald

Norm MacDonald

RoXer 02-27-2011 09:28 PM

@DannyZuker Danny Zuker
Oh shit, I just handed my valet ticket to Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin.

McLegend 02-27-2011 09:28 PM

James Franco is a bad host, yo.

Seth82 02-27-2011 09:32 PM

I am usually a fan of Franco but he is awful tonight

Watching the Oscars. Not crazy about the womb Natalie Portman's baby chose to wear.

How cool would it be if Justin Beiber popped his head out of Bale's beard and gave the acceptance speech?

RoXer 02-27-2011 09:49 PM

Norm MacDonald
i wonder how they make sound. that would be a cool talent to have

RoXer 02-27-2011 09:50 PM

Gunna stop posting tweets. Its getting out of hand. Just know that people are making funny comments.

G 02-27-2011 09:54 PM

franco is doing some cool quick videos behind the scenes

Nark Order 02-27-2011 10:24 PM

Hey, I watch the Academy Awards to hear about politics.

Evil Vito 02-27-2011 11:32 PM

Never really saw the big deal about watching the Oscars. You pretty much know the big 3 winners before the show even begins.

Nark Order 02-27-2011 11:39 PM

I'm not going to watch the fucking King's Speech in protest.

Blitz 02-27-2011 11:45 PM

Stately British costume drama wins a bunch of awards. What a shocker.

Nark Order 02-27-2011 11:47 PM

Let's all go watch that 2 hour movie about a guy with a speech impediment.

Blitz 02-27-2011 11:48 PM

In all fairness, The King's Speech is quite a good film. Did not to deserve to win over some of the other nominees, though.

BigDaddyCool 02-27-2011 11:53 PM

Kings Speech is boring. The academy is boring.

Seth82 02-27-2011 11:58 PM

Kings Speech looks beyond boring

plus I've been told it's got several factual inacuracies

BigDaddyCool 02-28-2011 12:05 AM

At least this time around there were more movies I wanted to see being nominated than last year.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-28-2011 12:12 AM

Why is The Social Network so popular for being an unoffical biopic. Those books are usually just made for tv movie materials.

Raven Reaper 02-28-2011 04:46 AM

On the bright side, Trent Reznor won for best scor and Natalie Portman best actress for Black Swan.

I was betting on either Black Swan or Inception for Best Picture.

That's not a bright side. Fuck Trent Reznor and his piece of shit music.

Raven Reaper 02-28-2011 05:22 AM

I really find it awkward that Toy Story 3 was also best picture nominated aside from the other sub categories it had... Very rare for a CGI cartoon to be on the fore front of Oscars.
