Johnny Swinger Wanted to be a Hermaphrodite?

From the Main Page:

A character he created for WWE that he never got to use: “I sidestepped creative and went straight to Vince. I asked for just a moment of his time and I laid out this character where I was a hermaphrodite and I would wrestle in both the male and female division. I would do a program with Trish Stratus and win the the Women’s title then go against Cena. I had angles written to go against Trish, Kane and Cena. I wanted to go to the top. I wasn’t going to pitch an idea to wrestle the first match of the night. I wanted to make money and be in the main event. I own the character…I have a patent for it so if it used on TV, I’ll get paid either way.”

Am I the only one who can't believe he thought this was a good idea and saw the need to patent it?

What a goober.

Anybody Thrilla 08-16-2011 03:05 PM

Honestly though, Vince probably could have been convinced that it was a great idea.

I guess it's no worse than Necrophilia or Mae Young giving birth to a hand. I just don't see how he could think this angle would draw in fans/money

Probably the only reason it did not make it on TV is because the WWE did not own the idea and Johnny Swinger did.

well at least he tried to come up with something/took stuff to creative as opposed to sitting back and then crying after getting released that they "didn't know what to do with me". Even if the idea was slightly retarded.

I've always though a crawny male (think Brian Kendrick or Zack Gowen-type frame) could be interesting if the competed in the women's division..... not a la Santina Marella either, but like have competitive matches.....

Am I the only one who can't remember the guy?

Jordan 08-16-2011 04:09 PM

That would have been a great gimmick for Colin Delaney, fucking hilarious.

Kane Knight 08-16-2011 04:22 PM

Shelton Benjamin did it first.

Jura 08-16-2011 04:24 PM

It said he worked for WWE in 2005/2006 and I think Vito did the cross dressing gimmick in 2006 so it wasn't that much different from what he wanted except for the hermaphrodite business and wrestling woman plus main eventing both divisions.

Anybody Thrilla 08-16-2011 04:29 PM

Johnny Swinger was a staple on WCW Saturday Night.

Seth82 08-16-2011 04:34 PM

he was also a regular in ECW

I believe he teamed with Simon Diamond

he went under the name Johnny Parisi in WWE as an homage to his great uncle Tony Parisi who performed in the WWE in the late 60's and 70's as Antonio Pugliese

Well had the idea taken off the guy would have gotten to wrestle Trish Stratus so guy's pretty smart in my book.

CSL 08-16-2011 08:37 PM

Well had the idea taken off Hitler would have gotten to rule half the world so the guy's pretty smart in my book.

Nope

Exactly the only one Hermie is Kevin Kelly.

RiX1024 08-17-2011 08:33 AM

Plus Swinger and Simon Diamond was a decent tag team in ECW.

Blitz 08-17-2011 02:13 PM

Swinger and Simon were a tremendous tag team.
