Greatest 5 mins of all time

Only on Nitro within the last 5 minutes of the show you would have Bret Hart return and attack Hogan, Savage return and help him, DDP getting thrown off the scaffold through the stage, and Flair become the number one contender to the world title. Looking back at it, Nitro use to have 30 mins worth of segments about Big Vito's sisters wedding reception, or Tank Abbott searching for Norman Smiley backstage, and then have all hell break loose like this. What are some of your other favorite endings of Nitro or RAW (there have been a few times on RAW) where all hell breaks loose?

Side note, Jesus christ Macho was in amazing shape. Macho Man, the only man badass enough to wrestle in sun glasses and a hat. He will always be the greatest off all time :'(

Aguakate 09-04-2011 04:57 PM

LOL Macho attacked everyone with a double axhandle while wearing sunglasses and a hat...

...He was just awesome.

Nice post. I thought this match in general was fun. It was a battle royal between the Millionaire's Club and the New Blood. I know 2000 WCW is considered to be really terrible but I enjoyed April-May. This battle royal was great and I remember when Savage came out and he got such a huge ovation. The most amazing thing about this match...It happened on Thunder. I would have had this happen on Nitro instead. I mean yeah WWE was going to win the ratings war on this night, but this would have been fun to tune in and watch.

Aguakate 09-04-2011 05:02 PM

This, though, was kinda sad...

Skippord 09-04-2011 05:16 PM

why were Nash and Hall dressed like Elvis impersonators?

Aguakate 09-04-2011 05:17 PM

LOL I never understood why they had that look down in TNA.

It's TNA.

Evil Vito 09-04-2011 05:47 PM

The best part about that battle royal was that it was meant to be like a 22-man battle royal (each side had 11 guys) and by the end of it it wound up being like a 40+ person battle royal as the rest of the roster jumped into the fray along with Savage, Bret, etc. I think even the WCW women got in the ring.

Lol, it's funny and sad that you could use that answer for so many of the things they do.

Why does TNA keep bringing back guys like Scott Hall and Jeff Hardy who have repeatedly no showed PPVs and had substance abuse problems?
It's TNA

Why is there a 90% chance we will see Hogan vs Sting by the end of the year when the feud had gotten stale by 1999 and there are some weeks Hogan has to wear a back brace just to walk?
It's TNA

Who is Nexus? I have forgotten already, they must not have been significant enough if they didn't survive an entire year.

Rammsteinmad 09-04-2011 11:04 PM

If I recall, Savage was never seen again after that WCW return. (In WCW).

Hanso Amore 09-05-2011 12:39 AM

Why am I not seeing this page bump, did the cameras miss that shit?

Hanso Amore 09-05-2011 12:39 AM

When I watch this, I remember how good we have it today. WCW was such a cluster

Stickman 09-05-2011 01:38 AM

That was painful to watch, what a mess.

Same general idea though, so then Only in WCW?

According to wikipedia, yes this was his last appearance. He comes out, destroys the New Blood, helps Hogan up and never comes back. Same with Bret Hart, he attacks Hogan, had a few other random appearances and thats it

Yeah he was in great shape, and I think he kept that through his appearances in TNA.

It's probably just me, but in a way savage looked like a white kimbo slice.

Rock Bottom 09-05-2011 05:56 AM

He may have been long past his prime but Savage was a pretty good puncher compared to most guys.

Actually, I've only just noticed the name of the video is 'Macho Mans last WCW appearance' or something lol.

But yeah, being 13 at the time I marked out huge thinking he was returned... :|

When I was in elementary school I always thought the janitor looked like Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Amazing how his gimmick eventually became a janitor.

I find it kinda nuts to realize that almost everyone in that clusterfuck was wearing a black shirt and/or black trunks. The few that weren't were wearing blue jeans or were Ric Flair.

This is going to be my favourite five (or maybe six) minutes in wrestling for some time. Gonna take a lot to top this.

JimmyMess 09-05-2011 04:56 PM

Austin beating down everyone in the Alliance was pretty sweet.

Not sure this can be topped. It's damn close with about two others for me. The last 5 mins were crazy.

DX and The Corporation going at it, Stone Cold returns after a few months out - unannounced - crowd goes nuts, Foley wins the title. Vince goes nuts. Stone Cold smiles at his friend putting butts in seats. Awesome.
