Why Are Orton & Barrett Feuding?
I haven't missed an episode for months, so I must've zoned out during the inception of this feud.
Suddenly they were captains of random survivor series teams, for no reason, when it looked like Orton and Rhodes would've made more sense. Suddenly Orton and Barrett are embroiled in a bitter blood feud, for some reason. On commentary, Michael Cole said Barrett wanted to defeat someone of Orton's ability, to prove he belongs in the main event. Ten seconds later, Barrett intentionally got himself disqualified with an eye poke, so that kind of goes out the window. Fill me in. |
Barrett keeps costing Orton matches, MAN! He keeps messing with him!
Think it started when they were over here in the UK and Barrett beat Orton with a thumb to the eye. And since then they've been real angry with eachother.
It's all because Barrett wants to be "top dog" on SmackDown! and prove to the world that he's better than Orton by eventually attaining his long term goal of becoming World Heavyweight Championship. It's deeper than that, but if you want it in a nutshell that's what's been going on.
Also, this from last night was great: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/IU9F2FoHrQU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Jabba why are you looking for sense in a world that has midgets that walk through walls and people surviving being blown up
Orton is making Barrett credible so that he will....WIN THE ROYAL RUMBLE!!!!
It's one of those instances where they suddenly decide to go in a different direction, prior booking/logic be dammed.
They did it early in the year when the switched Cena v Punk in favour of Cena v Miz and Punk v Orton. It was explained as Punk claiming it was revenge for something that happen two years prior. In short, Orton/Barrett are feuding because someone in creative wanted it to happen but didn't really have an angle for it. |
Basically they are pushing Barrett by feuding with Orton and wins matches, plus potential Royal Rumble winner.
And is Barrett ever racking up those impressive wins...against a guy that's not really the top dog at all, right now.
Wade Barrett is awesome right now.
Randy Orton is clearly in the doghouse.
I heard that Orton shit in Barrett's bag.
