Actors you didnt know were in movies

Well I was watching House on Haunted Hill yesterday and I had to pause it at the beginning when I realized that the camera man during the scene when they were interviewing that scary guy or who ever it is was non other than Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I started laughing my ass off. I have never noticed it before and laughed so hard at everything he did just because I knew that it was James Marsters. Has there ever been a movie you have seen and then when you watched it some time later you realized that you finally noticed who someone was.?

i only found out sean astin played drew barrymores brother in 50 first dates the other day. It didn't dawn on me even once that it was him.

I didn't realize Will Ferrel was Mustafa in the Austin Powers movies for the longest time. Probably because he wasn't very famous when AP1 first came out.

Smitty 05-03-2004 07:13 PM

Didn't realize Denny Lachance in Stand By Me was John Cuscack.

Didn't realize that Sport in Taxi Driver was Harvey Keitel.

Didn't realize that the father in Free Willy was Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen) for the longest time.

I don't know if this is what you are asking, but I laughed when I saw it.

You know that guy from Malcolm in the Middle, like the oldest kids Army sargeant or whatever, real goofy guy, he was some juror playing a serious role in Philadelphia, that was funny. It's also funny to see Dick from 3rd Rock playing real roles.

Shaggy 05-03-2004 08:18 PM

Yea when I saw Lithgow as a serious villain person in Cliffhanger instead of the funny person in 3rd Rock from the Sun, I didnt even believe it was him. I thought it had to be someone different.

I didn't know Charlotte from Sex in the City was in Porkies I when I saw it, it was only when I watched it with the Duck and another mate that they said it.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-03-2004 09:00 PM

Beecher was in Waynes World.

He's also in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" as the sheriff that's tracking the boys.

Any move is automatically made good with the appearance of Samuel L Jackson.

Maybe with the exception of the Star Wars movies. Then again, he wasn't bad ass in those. Bloody George Lucas, if only he added the line "The force mother ****er, do you use it?" then the fans wouldn't be so disappointed.

Vega 05-06-2004 02:14 PM

or "Hand me my lightsaber...It's the one that says bad motherfu</>cker on it."

I didn't know Steve Buscemi was in Big Fish, but then I saw it and "marked out" when I saw him.

Jason Cage 05-13-2004 09:07 PM

Didn't know Steve Buscemi was in Pulp Fiction.

Kapoutman 05-13-2004 11:50 PM

Samuel L. Jackson in "Coming to America". It had been a while since I watched that movie before I realized it was him doing a hold-up.

Shaved Monkey 05-18-2004 02:23 PM

Jack Black in Demolition Man. He was one of Dennis Leary's sewer rats.

Azriel 05-18-2004 02:41 PM

I missed the Sam Jackson cameo too. When it said his name on the credits, I couldn't believe it.

I <3 Negros 05-18-2004 09:33 PM

James Spader in Stargate

Also Adebesi was in Ace Ventura 2 and a new one I found yesterday Ceryral O'Rielly(both names are most likely spelled wrong), he was in Good Will Hunting.
