Most anticipated game of 2012?
 

For me its Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning EASILY. played the demo yesterday and i can safely say it will exceed the hype.

GTA V, sweet jesus May can't come soon enough.

Max Payne 3 has been moved back to May. I don't think R* would release GTA V in the same month and risk killing Max Payne 3s sales.

A friend of mine is assistant manager of an EB Games and they have a tentative release date of late May.

Take that with a shaker of salt.

No no, industry analysts do think it will be May.

ANYWHOO, Rhythm Heaven Wii right now, overtaken by Phoenix Wright X Professor Layton if it comes out over here this year.

Syndicate, Mass Effect 3, and Bioshock 3 are all that's on my dockett for 2012. I got a weird feeling it's gonna be a down year.

Right now the release day at the Alberta region EB is 01/01/99. I wouldn't believe any place holder dates, FA.

Bioshock Infinite, definitely. GTA5, too, but I feel like I need to dust off 4 and finish it before I play the next one.

1st: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
2nd : Mass Effect 3
After that, nothing really except for Max Payne 3.

Probably won't really get excited until after E3 but probably GTA V and Resident Evil 6 right now.

Haven't actually checked out what is coming out this year that I would really want.

Edit: Forgot all about Resident Evil Revelations coming out next month. Need to pick up a 3DS though.

If RE6 is anything like RE5, christ.

Stuff like Max Payne 3/GTA is expected to be good, but I'm not as 'eager' for them yet.

Bioshock 3 better be better than 2...i hated 2.

2 was done by a different team. This one is back with the original devs.

Hate when a new group takes over anything. They always manage to bastardize the hell out of it.

I have to finish Bioshock, before I move onto the sequel. I quite enjoy the first one though.

fine doesnt cut it when the origional was great, just sayin. bar was way too high to follow it up with that.

Gotta admit, the KoA demo got me wanting it, but I'm not sure it counts as "most anticipated."

It does for me. When i first saw bits of this at E3 it hit my radar hard. since then i've just been foaming at everything i've seen on it. the demo (ignoring the bugs obviously and praying they are infact due to the old build and the third party developer,) was fantastic and only sealed the deal for me. game looks tops.

KoA looks fairly good.

Is no one psyched for Twisted Metal?

The game hit most of the right buttons for me, and I'm now trying to decide if I pre-order for bonus swag or wait a while for the price to come down. It looks kinda like an IP I'd like to support, though the MMO to come out later can go fuck itself (not my thing is all).

right there with ya. kinda heart breaking for me because i really love a game that takes the time to make the lore...but knowing there wont be a sequal *for me* kinda makes me not wanna read it all...of course i know i will provided its good...*sigh*

on the subject of pre-order in game content and what have you in rpgs i'd rather not have it. kinda break questing for gear when you can start with some good mid to late game gear. and at that point...why go dungon crawling?

unless you're talking IRL collectables, in which case not really my thing.

kinda wish i had gotten those skyrim bookends tho...they were really badass

Mass Effect 3 is my most anticipated by a good bit, Halo 4 has me interested as well.

I'm actually looking forward to Final Fantasy XIII-2. I liked the gameplay of XIII, but found the story confusing. Hoping the sequel clears it up a bit.

Street Fighter x Tekken is easily at the top for me. Closely followed by UFC 3, and GTA 5.

MLB 13 & GTA V will be my only purchases.....

I actually could see that, especially if they were to do a 5/24/13 release, which would be a Friday and a lot of the "big games" (at least in the U.S.) release on Fridays during the week as opposed to Tuesday. But I guess time will tell.

Darkness 2 & Assassins Creed 3 are all that come to mind so far.
