9,fucking love Tajiri
|
7..... he never cut a promo..... After voting 7 for Gangrel, I can't justify giving Tajiri any higher.....
|
10...his work ethic is boss...plus, he always have that evil smile.
|
8.
Awesome in the ring, but basically no promo skill. Sorry. |
Just great charisma and talent. He did an awesome job with that creepy evil Japanese guy gimmick.

Best Jap rassler ever
|
Good wrestler but lacked decent mic skills a 7 it is.
|
Unlike most foreign stars who don't speak english, I don't think Tajiri's lack of mic skills hurt him. He was a master of getting over through body language alone.
Granted, almost his whole shtick was a shameless rip-off of The Great Muta, but he was an entertaining guy, and a unique character within the WWE at the time. |
Japanese. Fucking. Buzz-saw.
To all of you bitching about his "lack of promo-cutting", did he really need them? He turned face and heel multiple times in his WWE run with actions and association, and was fairly over either way. He didn't HAVE to speak at all. The random muttering in Japanese was comparable to R-Truth talking to himself. I don't even have to comment on his in-ring ability. 9 |
8, great wrestler, can produce a great match (see his work vs Super Crazy in ECW), no promo skills but his actions spoke louder. One of the wrestlers in WWE that the ball was dropped on.
|
The dude doesn't even speak English and you people have the audacity to bring up promo skills?
Blasphemy. |
By the way, I was joking.

What? He's a former United States Champion, 2 time Tag Team Champion, and a 3 time Cruiserweight Champion. Tajiri was one of the few guys who came to WWE and was used to perfection. |
Well on a scale of 1-10 and Ric Flair/HBK/Austin beng 10's and someone like The Rock or Dusty or Jericho being a 9 I'd have to grow some balls and say that Tajiri cannot be above a 7, which is where I would rank him. His ECW work was primarily what I rank him on as he was able to have some really great matches there, specifically one that stands out is Heatwave 98 against Tazz. I also enjoyed his first "3-Way Dance" matches with Super Crazy and Little Guido, I'd actually credit him as part of creating the outline for what we could consider a great triple threat match.
That being said in WWE he was very entertaining and could have worked out higher in the card and had great matches with anyone.... ah shit, I've talked myself into wishing I'd have given him an 8. He was awesome. |
Yeah, gave him a 7 as well, for the same reason. Not like 7 is a bad score or anything.
|
10, He could wrestle like hell, fuck mic skills, who cares if he can talk, this is wrestling.
