Fattest wrestler of all time?

Who was the fattest wrestler of all time?

Was it Haystacks Calhoun, or was there anyone fatter than him?

Was Yoko fatter than Haystacks?

whiteyford 02-15-2012 05:22 PM

Big Daddy was a bit of a porker

CSL 02-15-2012 05:24 PM

Giant Haystacks was bigger than Haystacks Calhoun

England represent

Droford 02-15-2012 05:26 PM

wasn't he Loch Ness in WCW?

that guy was just fat

Anybody Thrilla 02-15-2012 05:26 PM

Mickie James has to be in the running here.

RiX1024 02-15-2012 05:28 PM

Big Daddy was well fat but not as fat as Giant Haystacks.

The Destroyer 02-15-2012 05:33 PM

Yokozuna at his peak was apparently bigger than Giant Haystacks at his peak.

Anybody Thrilla 02-15-2012 05:42 PM

I think I remember Yokozuna being advertised around 800 lbs at his heaviest. Can't translate that to stone for you Brits, but that's pretty fucking fat. Dunno if it was true or not, though.

At an estimated 760 pounds, he had not only gained the weight that he had lost but admitted he was intentionally getting bigger with a goal weight between 850 and 900 pounds. At the pay-per-view event, Yokozuna was scheduled to take on King Kong Bundy in one of the event's two featured matches. However, this was not to be as Jake Roberts, who was scheduled to face Jim Neidhart in the other main event match, came to the ring for his match intoxicated and in no condition to wrestle. The promoters made a last minute change and ordered Yokozuna to team with Roberts against Bundy and Neidhart, and Yokozuna's team lost.[1]
[edit] Personal life

Damn. Why would anyone want to be 900 lbs?

El Fangel 02-15-2012 06:15 PM

Sumo? Guessing here.

MisterLee 02-15-2012 06:16 PM

its quite obvious that Yokozuna was a fat mofo but dang.. when I look at this pic, it pretty nasty mang.

MoFo 02-15-2012 06:20 PM

Matt Hardy

Hanso Amore 02-15-2012 06:24 PM

The difference in Yoko and Haystacks was about 7 inches. And they were similar weights.

CSL 02-15-2012 06:25 PM

and Yoko was pretty good considering. Haystacks was awful

He never actually competed as a sumo wrestler, so wrap your head around that.

Hanso Amore 02-15-2012 06:30 PM

Wait, WHAAT?! Then how did he get the Champions name of Yokozuna?

Next thing I know you will try to tell me that The Goon never played in the NHL.

Anybody Thrilla 02-15-2012 06:33 PM

I also heard that Duke Droese was an avid recycler, so I don't know what to think anymore.

MartinBullet 02-15-2012 08:15 PM

Have a look at this

Not a "wrestler" per se, but Jesus Christ!

Rollermacka 02-15-2012 09:03 PM

In the 1950s, Happy Humphery weighed in regularly at 800 but at one point weighed around 900 lbs. I've said it before, out of curiousity I would want to see him wrestle his 600 lb arch nemesis Haystacks Calhoun

Anybody Thrilla 02-15-2012 09:07 PM

That sounds disgusting and boring. If Big Show and Mark Henry have to work to be "pretty decent", that would be downright excruciating.

Damndirty 02-15-2012 09:17 PM

This almost a thread asking which one had the biggest floppiest titties? That would probably be a tie between Big Daddy V and Abdullah the Butcher.

Wolfpack423 02-15-2012 09:25 PM

It's probably Haystacks Calhoun with Yokozuna (though I'm a big fan of his), Mabel/Viscera/Big Daddy V, Mark Henry, Vader (once again I'm a big fan of his), Earthquake, Tugboat/Typhoon, Bastion Booger, and Brodus Clay following. You had people like Rikishi and the Samoans, but they could actually move as could Vader and Yoko was good as well during his earlier runs, but of course by 1996 he was just too big to really do anything, doesn't mean I wasn't still a fan.

CSL 02-15-2012 09:27 PM

there have probably been roughly 3,498 wrestlers fatter than Mark Henry, Vader, Brodus Clay etc bro

Destor 02-15-2012 09:28 PM

his body fat % has to be legit 80%+

Dark-Slicer Diago 02-15-2012 09:33 PM

I thought it was Bastion Booger myself.

KIRA 02-15-2012 09:43 PM

there was some big fat guy during NWA-TNAs first few televised shows he was so big he just kinda sat there and looked like he could have a heart attack at any given moment.

Anybody know his name

I want to see it more for the "spectacle" than for the wrestling. Of course its going to be horibily slow, hell I don't think even Macho Man Randy Savage could carry an 800 pound man in a match (no pun intended) and he made Kevin Nash look passable in late WCW.

Anybody Thrilla 02-16-2012 01:35 PM

I would be terrified to work with those McGuire guys. How do they even get in the ring?

Are you referring to Swish? He's like a tornado coming after you...or some shit like that.

Lock Jaw 02-16-2012 03:15 PM

According to Wikipedia, that Cheex guy broke the ring right before the very first broadcast in a dark match. So they had to shuffle the schedule around and put a bunch of non-wrestling segments first while they desperately tried to fix the ring as fast as they could.
