Smackdown's MitB match seems pretty random with the names so far and yet makes it a lot more interesting just to see who actually wins it. Christian would be the safe bet but Sandow or Kidd winning would be pretty amazing.

#1-norm-fan 06-27-2012 03:52 AM

Thinking Barrett will come back next week and get into the match to win it. Definitely can't see any of these four winning.

#1-norm-fan 06-27-2012 03:54 AM

Though seeing as how WWE loves pulling out a shocker with MITB (Bryan winning last year completely came out of left field) part of me thinks Santino ACTUALLY has a shot.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-27-2012 04:03 AM

Sweet. Looking forward to the SD MITB much more than the Raw one... Especially if the Raw one only has 4 people.

Are there any other former WWE champions on the roster? Other than HHH & Taker, of course. God that match is likely to suck.

#1-norm-fan 06-27-2012 04:21 AM

Mysterio, Del Rio, Miz, Foley and Lesnar.

#1-norm-fan 06-27-2012 04:21 AM

Oh. and The Rock. If they wanted to go 8, they COULD put those first four in it. They won't though.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-27-2012 04:37 AM

Oh shit Del Rio. Him and Miz need to go in, leaving Ziggler free to battle Sheamus. Ideally anyway. They'll probably just have Del Rio go for Sheamus and Ziggler in the WHC MITB.

If Mysterio is back and healthy, he'd be a great addition to the match. I don't like the thought of having 2 big guys in the match if it's just 4 people though. Kane as the token big man in the 6 way matches was usually pretty good for a couple of spots though.

Corporate CockSnogger 06-27-2012 06:53 AM

Really think that out of the people named so far Santino looks the most likely to win that MitB :-\

Hopefully Barrett does come back next week to enter, or Cody wins a last chance battle royal or something.

Hanso Amore 06-27-2012 07:11 AM

After Bryan last year and seeing the smack down list so far, I really see them going two different ways with the winners.

The raw winner will be a big name going into a big program. The smack down winner will be a major shocker and will be used to elevate someone from the mid card. Really think the winner is yet to join the match.

Joesgonnakillyou 06-27-2012 07:49 AM

Sandow is in MITB?!

YES!
YES!
YES!
YES!
etc....

Dukelorange 06-27-2012 08:34 AM

A Upper Card and Mid Card MITB? Sounds good...

ClockShot 06-27-2012 09:00 AM

Soooooooo this is just 2 hours of AJ head games. I don't have problem with that.

I had a glimmer of hope that Sheamus would drop the title to Ziggler or Del Rio after what went down on Raw. Didn't happen. :'(

Ermaximus 06-27-2012 09:16 AM

Kofi will be in that MitB, and I hope he wins. If not, LET'S GO KIDD!

Skippord 06-27-2012 09:30 AM

I could see Sandow winning, and by could see I mean saw it in my dreams

Ermaximus 06-27-2012 09:34 AM

You think they'd let a guy that green win a MitB his first try though? I mean, he's only had like 5 or 6 matches on tv and this will be his PPV debut, but I just can't see it Skip.

I never want to see Kofi with a world title.

RACIST! There needs to be a black champion. In the past ten years there have been 2, Booker T and Mark Henry. Too many white guys holding the title!

Kapoutman 06-27-2012 09:48 AM

I'm with Skippord. Sandow winning would be pretty sweet. I don't care how unlikely it is.

I just don't see Kingston as a main eventer. He's great to have in the midcard but he's just too bland for me to see as the top guy on either brand.

Ermaximus 06-27-2012 09:52 AM

I know. :( He was so close back in 09-10, but then *poof*. I blame some of that on that dickhead Orton though.

hmmm im mildly confused (if i cared more id be more confused), but from the back and forth on Ryback, (by that I mean the hate and love for him), I'm guessing that we like him, but we hate the way hes being booked?

I ask because it sometimes seems like theres massive contradictions about people liking him

but either way a whole lot of W.E lol.

Logan 06-27-2012 10:26 AM

I INCLUDE myself in my previous post btw.

Out of the dudes in it I think he has the best chance, depending on how much they like him. But if Wade Barrett shows up it'll be him.

Ermaximus 06-27-2012 10:48 AM

I keep thinking it'll be Wade in the end too. I could see them adding Kofi and possibly a returning Bourne, maybe Cara Monday and then Wade shows up as a mystery opponent. Now if they really wanted to blow us away, they should have Teddy add Kofi on Raw and then add Cara on Smackdown. The week after have Regal be the guest GM for the week and have him say on Raw that he has contacted a superstar who he knows will win the whole thing because like himself, he is also personified in greatness. Don't have him say who it is on Raw, but then have him book all the MitB guys in singles matches. Have Kofi face Sandow, Christian can face Santino in a champion vs champion match, Cara can face Tensai, and sadly have Kidd face the "8th man." Have Kidd waiting in the ring ready to go and then cue Regal saying he'd like to introduce to us the last and final man in the MitB, as well as the future winner, Wade Barrett.

Ermaximus 06-27-2012 10:50 AM

Then again, I'd be perfectly fine with someone beating the shit out of Tensai backstage and his spot going to Dibiase or Rhodes.

Joesgonnakillyou 06-27-2012 11:21 AM

Seen as though last year's MITB was so awesome, the only way to top it is have Sandow win.

Volare 06-27-2012 11:26 AM

Tyson Kidd....fucking finally!

I mean yeah, we know he's there cause he can fly and do the cool shit. I just want him to shine and get his moment. Only good things (I hope at least) can come from this.

Fuck you, Tensai/Sandow will win MITB and Dolph Ziggler will win the world title giving me the win in #WWEPOOL3

VSG 06-27-2012 12:06 PM

Although I am intrigued by Cesaro/Aksana vs Layla/Khali (#TPWWSURVIVOR vs #WWEPOOL3)

Nicky Fives 06-27-2012 02:29 PM

they gotta have more than 4 in each MITB, no? 4 doesn't seem like enough..... if they want to reduce the number, they should revert back to the original number of 6.....

I like him AND I like how he's being booked.

Back in the day, TV was filled almost exclusively with squash matches. And not matches filled with impressive feets and crazy spots like a Ryback squash... matches like Jake Roberts vs ... Glen... Williams...

And it got people over. Now people bitch because 2 minutes of TV time is taken up by Ryback tossing jobbers around a ring to show his power? People are too impatient these days. They want Ryback to do a couple weeks of squashes, a couple weeks of midcard, then hit the main event. They want Wade Barrett to win THE WORLD TITLE like 2 years into his existence in WWE as if he's the second coming of Ric Flair or something. NOW NOW NOW!

There's nothing wrong with a slow build to get a guy's character ingrained in your head before he grows to the next level.

Vickie said there would be qualifying matches over the next two weeks. So four this week and I'm guessing four next week.

BizarroKing 06-27-2012 05:54 PM

Damnit and I was pulling for Ryder to win MITB this year.
