The rest of it said he was seeking to jump straight to the main roster, would prefer he came in with Sabin to be honest but I still think he'd be a great signing for them.

So since WWE doesn't "consider them a threat" will they change his name? Or will people know when he debuts as "OMG its Alex Shelley!" ?

Alex Shelley was really entertaining doing the whole "Paparazzi Productions" shtick. He and Chris Sabin are a great tag team, don't get me wrong, but TNA sort of moved away from their personalities when they became babyfaces in TNA. Shelley would be able to get quite over quite quickly as a guy putting together "documentaries" on guys he is feuding with.
