Movies You Wish You Could See With Fresh Eyes....

Like, in the context of the time, rather than through the jaded eyes of modern times.

For example:

The Wizard of Oz: Seeing the transition to colour in a time where colour folm was still in its infancy would probably have been pretty cool.

Alien: By the time I was old enough to really watch the movie, I'd seen just about every surprising part imitated or parodied. I appreciate the impact it had, but my reactions were kind of dulled by knowing what was going to happen. Similarly:

Jaws: Also parodied, plus everyone knew the Jaws theme by the time we were like, five. In fact, when I see the title screen, I smile and think of Airplane.

2001: A space something something: Ground-breaking effects.

Oh, and Titanic. You know, so they couldn't spoil the sinking of the boat for me.

Sixth Sense, we probably all had a douchebag friend who ruined the ending for us.

I'd have liked to have seen The Dark Knight without Ledger passing away beforehand, so that the hype would have died down and the film could stand on it's own without people gushing over it and holding it to unrealistic expectations.

Star Wars

I've been told it was like seeing Jesus walk on water when people saw it for the first time. The first of its kind. The only movie that's ever given me that feeling in theaters was "Avatar" in IMAX 3D.

I have yet to see any of them, and this was the first to come to mind for some reason.....

Psycho

I feel that would have been truly terrifying back in 1960.

The Horse In Motion

I feel it would be amazing to see the first motion picture ever made.

The Jazz Singer

Perhaps something like The Exorcist or Texas Chainsaw Massacre, films of that ilk that had society up in arms at the time of release but can't replicate the same level of hysteria when viewed/compared to modern standards.

The original Star Wars trilogy or specifically the first film considering how huge of an impact it later would have in filming and the sci-fi genre itself. Probably also to see how different the reaction would have been watching the film before the age of computers and electronics which now play a huge role in every day life.

Titanic. History totally spoiled the ending big time.

Star Wars

Alien, just to see people's reactions in theaters, as a lot of people couldn't even make it through the whole thing, supposedly.
