TNA Lately

Is TNA actually no too bad to watch these days, setting aside the Roadhouse style Aces & eights shit or have i just drank too much cheap gin in my 27 days off from work?

Mr. Nerfect 10-06-2012 09:33 PM

I've been really enjoying TNA lately. I'm especially into Tessmacher vs. Tara and the Tag Team Title picture. Even Aces & Eights has the potential to not be terrible. The logical outcome for the story is for Eric Bischoff & Jeff Jarrett to be behind it -- upset about their exodus from the company. That won't be exciting, but it's logical. I think that D'Lo Brown may be revealed to have been a guy on the inside helping them out, as well. I hope that they make Aces & Eights a group separate from their association with Bischoff, Jarrett & Brown, though. Think that dude that Bane kills in The Dark Knight after he's got no use for him any more. Bischoff would be all "Look at my group!" and Aces & Eights will be all "Your group? No, Eric -- you've got this wrong," and beat him down, just like everyone else in their path.

I'm also thinking that Garett Bischoff will turn heel at Bound For Glory. That look he shot Hulk when Hogan kicked him out on Championship Night was probably the best thing Bischoff has done since arriving on the scene. He's still too green to be an active roster member, but as an annoying shit-stirrer, he could play a major role in the Aces & Eights storyline. Have Sting & Bully Ray be the team going against A&E at BFG, with both Impact Wrestling and A&E members banned from ringside. Bischoff wants the spot alongside Sting, but gets told that he "isn't ready." During the match, Bischoff runs down -- with Tenay & Taz stressing that this is not a good decision on his behalf -- only for Bischoff to blast Sting with a steel chair, or something. Bischoff betrays TNA and helps Aces & Eights get full access to TNA -- only to discover that the group has been partially funded by his father, whom he tried to have removed from TNA forever.

Or maybe Bully Ray turning heel, considering his Twitter Machine. He might've gave Aces & 8's information, like their informant or inside man.

I share this feeling. Their program has moved up to "watchable" in recent weeks/months. I find the in ring style of most workers to be faster and more intense. Double A is on fire and entertaining as hell to watch. The Roode/Storm angle has gone on for a very long time and is STILL good, those two take personal hatred to another level. The Aces & Eights has grabbed my attention too, as it has been hashed out pretty well thus far, let's hope they don't fuck it up.

Honestly, the only thing I find worth watching in WWE right now is Punk, Sheamus, Bryan/Kane (for comic relief ofc) and anything with Ziggler or Sandow. The rest of the shit is on fast forward x5.

Shisen Kopf 10-06-2012 10:58 PM

Agree with this new guy about the WWE right now. Other than Sandow, Hell No and of course RYBACK the product blows. TNA is even worse and I quit trying to watch that horseshit.

Optimus Bone 69 10-06-2012 11:03 PM

What noid said and to add to that i just like laid out story lines so hopefully they can get the mix right between too long and illegitimate childrern

drave 10-06-2012 11:03 PM

Ryback is fun to watch too, cept when he failed with Albert Monday :/

Dude needs to establish a secondary finish. The lariat he delivered was pretty sweet looking, but c'mon, Albert is a big bastard and shouldn't stay down from a lariat.......

I guess it was a Ryback lariat tho, I'll shut the fuck up now xD

Shisen Kopf 10-06-2012 11:54 PM

First of all new dude, when you mention the name RYBACK you have to make sure it's bold and in all caps. Preferably in a large size too. Also, Jap Albert sandbagged him. He is a bastard. He should go back to Japan.

Mr. Nerfect 10-07-2012 01:19 AM

I'd get into a heel Ryback. Just as long as he didn't become a bad-ass submission machine like every other bad-ass submission machine.

Tommy Gunn 10-07-2012 06:37 AM

But they always turn their heels into pussies, if RYBACK was heel, HE would have been the one running away on Raw instead of CM Punk.

Yea, kinda figured that is how it went down. Although it couldn't have have happened to a better person than RYBACK, he's such a badass it just makes Albert look like a jackass.

I almost don't blame Albert though. WWE was all liek "HAY, WE WANT U BAK TO SMASH FACES KK?" and have him job week after week. Maybe he is trying to get fired so he can go back to the Japs, either way, he needs to GTFO!

Bound For Glory looks pretty good, I hope Aries goes over Hardy though, really uninterested in another Hardy reign.

That could happen, if Jeff doesn't resign with TNA.

mike adamle 10-07-2012 03:59 PM

I don't see him not re-signing

FEED ME MORE! FEED ME MORE! FEED ME MORE! FEED ME MORE!

RYBACK

#BROKEN Hasney 10-07-2012 04:24 PM

The Knockouts ref is probably the second best ref of all time behind AJ.

St. Jimmy 10-07-2012 04:25 PM

P.S. Aces and 8's is going to end in Hogan vs. Bischoff fued. SPOILER. This show sucks.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-07-2012 04:27 PM

This dude has a shirt that says "Legalize Sleaze". I want it.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-07-2012 04:29 PM

This Joey Ryan doesn't want to hear an "apologement" from Al Snow. Classic.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-07-2012 04:32 PM

Woah, I've made it past the half hour mark. That's longer than my last 5 efforts at Raw.

That would be enough to say fuck it if that happened. I was hoping more to see a Jarrett return.

True story. I go through a 3 hour raw in about 25-30 mins here lately.

Don’t really watch Impact! But I thought Bully was still a monster heel, and he just asked to be put in the match against those guys. From what I know of the storyline, which please understand, is VERY little, it seems like Bully might just already be a part of A's & 8's but it won't be revealed until sometime during the next PPV, and he’ll somehow find a way to get a world title shot or something.

I’m probably way off, but I’ve really only *heard* about this storyline and not really seen any of it.

Also, on a totally unrelated side note, the term “Aces & Eights” (a.k.a. the Dead Man’s Hand) actually comes from the fact that while playing poker on August 2, 1876, “Wild Bill” Hickok was shot in the back of the head by Jack McCall. His hands opened and dropped his cards on the table, revealing two pair: Aces and 8’s (NATCH). Just thought I’d throw in that last bit for those who don’t mind a little history lesson with their ‘C’-show wrestling.

drave 10-08-2012 12:05 PM

Bully has been on FIRE for a while now. Bar none, one of the best heels going in the business right now.

Also, considering the source of the writing, I wouldn't be surprised at any sweeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeee thrown our way.

XL 10-08-2012 07:12 PM

Undertaker is gonna be behind Aces & Eights (Deadman's hand, after all). We're gonna get Sting vs. Taker but not as we expected.

Droford 10-09-2012 03:38 AM

Bully is clearly gonna turn on sting at bfg and help A's&8's
