Will anything come from the weekly Matt Striker pwnage?
 

From Kane to Randy Orton to the Prime Time Players, everybody has been making Matt Striker out to be a huge bitch recently. Do you think that a storyline will come out of this? Perhaps Striker will get fed up and enlist the services of another wrestler to get revenge for him, returning to a manager role? Is there a chance that Matt Striker will snap and become a bad ass submission machine? Is this just a running gag?

He is being totally underutilized at the moment. I would love him to become a manager again or a return to PPV commentary. Nothing else.

I thought maybe for a moment it would have lead him to become a manager for PTP or Rhodes Scholars due to the promo he gave to Kane and Bryan but that ended with another comedic moment instead involving the Big Show.

Maybe this will lead to the re-debut of Big Daddy V.

Why would they want him to quit? He's the man. If they really didn't want him around, they could just not put him on TV.

I dunno. I hope that's not the case. I like Striker a lot. I like that he's a huge nerd about wrestling and gets genuinely excited when stuff happens.

He's incredible... This probably isn't leading to anything though. Most things that seem like they would be leading to something years ago are usually WWE just flying by the seat of their pants now. It will likely be forgotten about.

He's almost too good on the mic to be an announcer but he doesn't really fit as a full time wrestler.

The promo he cuts at 1:20 here is a good example. It's nothing earth-shattering. But it shows a ton of comfort on the mic and it's not the typical nauseating paint-by-numbers, spout out every cliche you can possibly think of in 60 seconds promo that most people cut nowadays. And he just rolls through it. Makes me wanna see him involved in real storylines at put his talents to good use.

They always seem to do this kind of shit with the broadcast team just for the hell of it. I guess Vince enjoys it. See: JR, Cole, Josh Matthews, Kevin Kelly, Coach, Todd Grisham, etc.

I miss when no one would fuck with the announcers. Mene Gene wasn't gonna beat anyone's ass. But you didn't fuck with him. A heel insult here and there but he did his job and if someone tried to intimidate him, he'd tell him how he feels, dammit.

JUST BECAUSE HE'S ON THE AIR DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE GONNA GET AWAY WITH OFF-CAMERA BULLSHIT!

I'm a huge Matt Striker fan. The dude, almost more than anyone else on the roster seems to absolutely love his job. As an announcer, I think he's up there with the best the WWE has ever had. I truthfully think that it would be great if Jerry Lawler became the new RAW GM, and the commentary team on RAW became Jim Ross, Michael Cole & JBL full-time (three announcers for three hours) and the SmackDown team was Josh Mathews & Matt Striker.

That being said, if the WWE is absolutely set on Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler and Josh Mathews & JBL as commentary teams, I would not be opposed to Striker ending up with the RAW GM position, and then using his new found power to get back at the Superstars that have caused him misery.
