IYO: Colt Cabana
http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/...0-24075720.jpg
In Your Opinion: Colt Cabana Although Colt Cabana did not make it in the WWE, he has attained a certain level of popularity on the internet and the indie wrestling scene with respect to his "The Art of Wrestling" podcast and relationship with current WWE Champion CM Punk. I am not well versed with Colt's in-ring capabilities since I am restricted to watching a few videos (of his) on Youtube. I would like to get the opinion of the TPWW members with respect to Colt Cabana's wrestling abilities. Feel free to post your opinions and videos of his matches  |
have always said Colt could do a job for Vince. Never gonna be a World champion but he's more than entertaining/good enough to have a decent midcard run for a few years, one of the few times I've thought WWE really dropped the ball with somebody. He's ready made for a kid-friendly wrestling TV show
|
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Colt should've gotten a huge push like Punk and Bryan. Very dissapointed to this day that Colt and WWE didn't work out. |
What CSL said, a more entertaining Santino.
|
I never got IT. Was never into him.
Just started listening to his podcast though and really do enjoy it, so he is really growing on me. |
I really think the WWE, if serious with all their Social Media shit, and hoping to havbe their own network, need to hire a guy like Colt to fill programming.
|
I'll pass....

I like him. His podcast although fun and informative can be kind of irritating... he likes to present himself as somewhat of a nerd and yet at the same time likes to act as though he's sitting at the cool kids table. He also beats around the fucking bush. For all intents and purposes he's made it, because he's making a steady living with his wrestling and is somewhat of an entrepreneur so good on him. Hopefully he gets a legit chance at the big time, not as Scotty Goldman.

Does anyone remember the episode he did with Tommy Dreamer?

Plus he is a Jew, so you know he has handled his money well.
|
I'd say yay he's a great wrestler but he's kinda hit and miss on the entertainment side of things still better than most though.
|
|
No.

He's no Kevin Nash.

Honestly, I just don't see it. Probably because fans have acted like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
|
Absolutely not.

Santino is fucking incredible at what he does. |
But yes, I think Cabana could be useful.
|
Hes a bit overrated in my opinion too. People seem to sing his praises more because hes punks best friend.
I dont deny he has talent and an entertaining guy...i just don't believe the hype. |
I think I have found my new gimmick...
DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

From what I've seen of him, he is just an indy guy with a 1980's WOS comedy element in his act. Whatever.

Highly recommend Wrestling Road Diaries DVD with him and Bryan in it. Awesome watch for any Wrestling fan.

He seems like an entertaining guy and his ring work is technically good. He's got an "average guy" look that I think could be marketable in the mid-card, too. I think the WWE would definitely benefit from giving the guy another shot. Cabana hanging out with Zack Ryder & Santino Marella to feud with 3MB would be pretty entertaining time filler.
