Someone tell me how that is better than the year before because I have no idea why it is.

#1-norm-fan 02-01-2013 09:32 PM

Because there was a cell.

A CELLLLL!

#1-norm-fan 02-01-2013 09:32 PM

Hell in a cell > Hell outside of a cell

Fact.

OPINIONS. AGREE WITH MINE BECAUSE YOURS IS IRRELEVANT.

Tazz Dan 02-01-2013 09:35 PM

I'm sorry savoir, that was harsh

Tazz Dan 02-01-2013 09:36 PM

I didn't even read your post in full

Tazz Dan 02-01-2013 09:36 PM

I think the second one is looked fondly upon because of the ending.

CSL 02-01-2013 09:36 PM

if you need it explaining then you didn't really "feel it", which is kind of what the whole thing was about. The 2nd match was the definition of "epic" in professional wrestling, not the cocknocker internet way of using the word epic but the actual meaning of the word epic. It was about as perfect of a story as you can tell in wrestling, it was more than just a match, it was basically the culmination of 4 years worth of Mania matches, Triple H's career and HBK and Taker's legacies and it couldn't have been done any better. I could make the 27 match or indeed any match ever seem poor by breaking it down in that manner.

Tazz Dan 02-01-2013 09:36 PM

HBK/Taker II > HHH/Taker I&II

Keith 02-01-2013 09:37 PM

The one at WM28 was better than the WM27 one, though.

There was a story being told right before our eyes. It was awesome.

Tazz Dan 02-01-2013 09:37 PM

Also what CSL said

The story in the ring was more about HBK though honestly

HHH/Taker I was at WM17 =/

Tazz Dan 02-01-2013 09:42 PM

You know what I meant

But if you watch them back to back you would choose 27 as the better match no?

#1-norm-fan 02-01-2013 09:58 PM

Honestly, I think 28 just had a better feel to it. 27 was a pretty unique match though.

absolutely not. 27 was great, 28 was fucking immense/awe-inspiring. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had never ever watched professional wrestling before and weren't aware of the participants and their history and so forth, dunno.

James Steele 02-01-2013 11:05 PM

I'd argue the WrestleMania 17 match was the best of the 3 just based on the action in the ring, but when you throw in the emotion and environment - HHH vs Taker in Hell in a Cell is what professional wrestling is about.

Theo Dious 02-01-2013 11:27 PM

The actual match at 27 was better, but the entire event, presentation, and spectacle of the 28 match was just unmatchable. 27 was an amazing "I desire to prove that I am better than you" match, 28 was "IT ENDS HERE AND I WILL END YOU!!!" After watching the HIAC the only thing I had to say was "what the hell did I just see?"

Savio 02-01-2013 11:37 PM

I will say with WM27 and 28 I saw absolutely no build up to either match.

Keith 02-01-2013 11:51 PM

Triple H and Undertaker don't need any build-up.

They can just come out once or twice, talk about respect, and they're good to go.

Fignuts 02-01-2013 11:54 PM

Ladies and gentlemen, may I just point out that this is the same man who said the music in contra is better than the music in megaman 2.

Jordan 02-02-2013 03:52 AM

It was what happened between the moves that made the Hell in a Cell match so great.

Savio 02-02-2013 09:47 AM

50 chairs shots?

The Condor 02-02-2013 11:32 AM

Savior: You are correct, sir

Emperor Smeat 02-02-2013 02:50 PM

Felt Mania 27 was better in terms of actual wrestling while Mania 28 was a lot better with the storytelling.

Mania 28 was almost the same as Mania 27 with the biggest difference being HBK playing a huge role in the second match.

Shawn Michaels' facial expressions?

Fignuts 02-03-2013 04:21 AM

To be fair, he did have great facial expressions.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-03-2013 07:03 AM

He took Avery Brooks' class on overacting.
