Should I buy Uncharteds?
 

Hi gang, I was looking for games on Amazon and all three Uncharted games are available for reasonably cheap. So I would like to posit this question to you TPWW videogame fans: should I buy these games?

You can demo at least 2. Why not try it?

Yes of course they are must have games for the PS3 if you like platformers/adventures titles but if I had to suggest which one was the best i'd say Uncharted 2 it had the best single player campaign and has a multiplayer experience.

Yes, they are all fantastic.

1 is alright but quite flawed. I got the platinum trophy in 2 and it's by far the best. 3 is a plodding snoozesfest.

I've played all three, and I bought 2 and 3. I'd recommend buying them.

Although one of the glaring flaws of the first game is an endless wave of enemies. They just keep coming until you get through an area, which is really stupid.

The third game's story seems to be based around the cool physics ideas they had for stages, but it's still a fun game.

I liked the first one a lot, and the 2nd one they pretty much improved everything that was clumsy in 1.

Somehow the 3rd one screwed up the aiming, but apparently they've patched it since I played it, although the third one was pretty much set-pieces first, story second. Also they added in Batman-style fighting. Still a worthy game though.

Skippord, do you like Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones?

I did not know that I could demo them, stupid playstation store being aggravating for me to use.

Yes, you'll like them. I ignored them and I never even got into Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones and these games are really fun and well made.

You should buy them all and a Nathan Fillion poster.

All games were great. Graphics and storyline are some of the best in the business.

But fair warning, the gunplay is the some of the worst I've ever dealt with.

I'd say the platforming is some of the worst I've dealt with, so Tomb Raider comparisons are off.

I have bought Uncharteds

Clockshot and Mitt are suffering from dementia. The gunplay and plat forming isn't the best I've seen but its still really fun.

Uncharteds 1 isn't bad. It's sets up the style of the series appropriately and you shouldn't have any trouble figuring it out. The only thing annoying about Uncharteds 1 is that enemies can shoot you with pinpoint accuracy with a pistol from 100 yards away.

Uncharteds 2 fixes that and the AI is much more responsive to flanking and attacking. And oh yeah, this is the best game of the series, maybe of all PS3.

Uncharteds 3 is also incredible. Nothing really wrong with it (other than the fact that these bad guys are really fucking persistent and we don't really know why), the big problem is that Uncharteds 2 set the bar so high that it's difficult to maintain that kind of excellence. Uncharteds 3 does a good job of it.

The big question is, how many more Uncharteds do the people really want to play before getting bored of the series? I say 5. If they can crank out 2 more Uncharteds that are at or near the level of quality that 2 and 3 gave then that would be great. Once Uncharteds 5 comes out it may be time to re-evaluate where to go from there.

But until then, I can't wait for the next Uncharteds. Have fun.

Yeah, they had a little foreshadowing with the footprint towards the beginning, but then they're completely forgotten til you encounter them towards the end.

I was literally like "wait now there's monsters?" then I died.

I definitely shotgunned the fuck out of them the next time. Then Eddy got eaten and that was a drag.

Yeah, in the end, Eddie turned out to be alright.

I even said out loud when playing it, "Eddie, you're alight".

And then yes, he got eaten.

I felt Drake and his relationship was really improving when they were shooting those monsters together. And now he's dead and they'll never be best friends and I don't even want to play Uncharted 2.

It's alright, he gets a new best friend in Uncharted 2 with a cockney accent.

The 2nd game has a woman whose voice is made of sexual intercourse.

these games really have a stranglehold on the bizarre monsters appearing straight out of left field genre.
