Who would win, Joffery Baratheon or Viserys Targarye 3rd of his name? Discuss.

Viserys easily. Both are entitled brats with anger issues, and the fight would be a big ugly mess...
But in the end Joffrey would probably "lose his nerve"/"chicken out" and it would cost him dearly. He probably has more formal training than Viserys, but less experience in the "real world". |

Everyone seems to be favoring Viserys. that is dumb, Joffery actually has a master at arms has been trained in sword fighting. Viserys has a borrowed sword he doesnt even know how to use. Also Joffery is pretty decent with a crossbow. Again, Viserys is a bitch. That being said, Joffery is also a bitch and I am sure Arya Stark would have killed him before she knew the water dance.

Joffrey has the training, but he is a coward. Totally ran to safety during the battle of Blackwater Bay at the first hint of actual danger to his person.
He's fine at shooting things from a distance, or against some peasant who is scared of him... but in a real fight? Even Arya was able to disarm him and send him home crying to his mommy. Viserys may not have the training, but he has the indomitable will/stupidity to stare Khal Drogo in the face and make demands of him. He has been struggling to survive for most of his life... and he would have all of his rage and fury behind him almost immediately when faced with a "Baratheon", which would scare Joffrey right off the bat. |
Arya is a fucking killer though.

Are we going by the books or the tv show? Does a character have to be introduced in the TV series before they do battle or books?

Brienne is a good choice, but those hulking muscles of hers require oxygen. She'd tire out first. Then Arya would totally finish her off.
