So now that Nicky from the Spirit Squad is World Heavyweight Champion
Who do you want to see Dolph Ziggler defend his title against? Right now we're getting the obligatory Ziggler-Del Rio and Ziggler-Swagger feuds out of the way with this Ladder Match coming up at Extreme Rules. Who do you wanna see challenge Dolph for the belt after that??
I'm guessing we'll see Sheamus and Randy Orton challenge Dolph at some point. One name that might surprise people that I see getting a shot at Dolph's belt is Kofi Kingston. These guys have feuded on and off for the last 2 years, now let's have them actually fight over something. Another name I don't really see challenging but would love to be proved wrong is Sin Cara. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sin Cara for the WHC could be the coming out party for Sin Cara. |
Shut the fuck up
|
Hanso is one angry person.
A mini Kori feud would be a nice change of pace. |
|
Is there a reason you guys can't respond to the topic at hand?
Anyways, I could also see Big show challenging Dolph. A dark horse I see challenging Ziggler would be my main man Wade Barrett. |
George Hackenschmidt.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dolph and Daniel Bryan continue their rivalry in a WHC match. Then if Bryan loses you could have Kane challenge Dolph to avenge him, perhaps in a 60 minute iron man match.
|
Kane in a 60 minute iron man match?
No thanks. |
Why? Kane's been doing his best work of his career.

That was his best work. |
You're talking character-wise, I'm talking from an in-ring perspective.
|
I would rather put daniel bryan in a ironman match against ziggler than kane
|
Eh, a Daniel Bryan Iron Man Match would be so predictable. Let Kane get in there and show the people he can go for 60 minutes. Then when he loses you could have Daniel Bryan try to avenge his loss in an Inferno Match.
|
I wouldn't expect the Ziggler-Del Rio stuff to be done post-Extreme Rules.
|
Christian would be a great rival for Ziggler. Maybe even the Miz could get a nice feud for the WHC.
I'm also clamoring for a Cody Rhodes face turn in the near future. If that happens, I would love to see a few between the two. |
Having him feud with the likes of Cody Rhodes, Christian, Daniel Bryan and The Miz right now would be a great way to make the title look even less prestigious.
Those are all US/IC level guys, sure they can be built (back) up to be more of a threat, but not right away. Have Ziggler go over guys who are already established first (Orton, Sheamus, Jericho, Big Show), make himself seem "Main Event" and then once he's at that level you have him giving others the rub. You don't just dump two upper midcarders in a feud with the belt and hope for the best. Granted that's basically what they've done with Swagger, but Del Rio and Ziggler are at that "almost" stage so it's not too bad. He definitely needs to beat some credible guys next though. |
That's why I suggested he face Sheamus or Randy Orton after he finishes his feud with Del Swagger. I wouldn't mind him facing those IC/US level guys on shows like Main Event or SmackDown! though. Have someone like Sin Cara take Ziggler to the limit on Main Event, maybe even a fluke win and give him a title shot the next week on SmackDown!. He doesn't have to win, but good showings against the WHC would help someone like Sin Cara.

Something else that'd interest me is Dolph Ziggler being the one to take on The Shield and survive. I'd imagine Dolph vs. Dean Ambrose, Dolph vs. Seth Rollins, and even Dolph vs. Roman Reigns would all be money matches. I'd love to see Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose in a Boiler Room Brawl, or Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins in a Caribbean Strap Match, or even Dolph vs. Reigns in a Buried Alive Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
|
Can they dig up the rest of the spirit squad and have them come back an be jealous of him. It sounds like a cheerleader movie. Bring it on don't show it off
|
Dolph Ziggler vs. Mike Mondo would be one hell of a great wrestling contest.
|
Why would Ziggler and Rollins be in a Caribbean Strap Match? If anything it would need to be a "Great Midwest Leather Hide Strap Match" since Dolph is from Cleveland and Rollins is from Iowa.

I'd like to see Ziggler vs Carlito Caribbean Cool in a Great Midwest Leather Hide Strap Match
|
You're right, it would be real cool to see someone from the past come back to face Dolph for the WHC. I'd love it if we saw an important comeback match at SummerSlam to challenge for the WHC. How about Dolph Ziggler facing Matt Hardy in a TLC Match to really cement Dolph's legacy as a main eventer who can win in any type of match.
|
I think Savio Vega would be a bigger and better name to cement Dolph Ziggler's status as an "all-time elite great"
|
So are we picking random names and match types here?
Pitbull #2 in an evening gown match, really who wouldn't want to see this match, nothing predictable about it. |
Personally, I think Triple H beating Dolph for the title and Dolph chasing him for a year or two would help both the company and Dolph.
|
Dolph Ziggler should face Christian in a Lion's Den match contested under Roman Colosseum rules.
Ziggler retains his title in a close victory, and per match stipulation "Emperor" RomanReignsigula decrees the Christian be thrown to the Lions, AKA Big E Langston and Sheamus in Wizard of Oz Cowardly Lion suits. |
I was leaning towards nay until the part about lion suits, genius touch.
|
I just think since Dolph wants to be known as the Show off that he needs an extra touch on his matches, adding a stipulation to every World Title match would indeed steal the show.
Maybe you could have Dolph vs. Christian vs. Matt Hardy in a Triple Threat TLC Match. |
This guy is obsessed with Gimmick Matches. Such a cheap way to try and infuse these proposed lacklustre feuds with something.
|
I mean I guess Ziggler and Matt Hardy could have an epic 35 minute singles contest at SummerSlam.

Ziggler vs Sin Cara feud would draw exactly 14 fans, most of which are their immediate families. |
I'm not saying Sin Cara has to be world champ or that he even has to challenge on ppv, Mr. Bilbo Baggins. I'm saying you could have Sin Cara take Dolph to the limit or possibly even beat him on Main Event and sets up a world title match for himself on SmackDown which is mainly watched by immigrants and latinos. So yeah, sin cara challenging on sd would draw.
|
Immigrants he says.
|
Isn't that what the dirstsheets always said when they were talking about why Rey Mysterio was on the sd brand? The big latino and immigrant rating group?
Speaking of Rey, i'd love if he came back to challenge Dolph, they always have excellent matches. And maybe down the line if Dolph could turn face I think a match between him and Damien Sandow would be money |
