Most Hours Spent On A Game
Or basically what game have you played the most?
For me it's probably back in the day when I was playing Infantry games on The Station owned by Sony or City of Heroes but Steam has a feature that states how many hours you've played each game and according to that it's the Killing Floor with 833 hours. That's about 34 days. |
Fallout Series - at the very least 30-40 hours on each
FarCry 3 - I think almost 20 |
Fire Pro Wrestling is easily the winner for me. Modded my PS2 and imported it when it came out in 2005, and have been playing it regularly ever since.
Super Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter X Tekken, and Skyrim have all had massive chunks of time given to them. Megaman 2 isn't a long game, but I've beaten it around 764296429652 times so I guess add that to the list. |
World of Warcraft easily. Civilization for single player games. Age of Empires 1 ate a lot of my time too.
|
I would just say I'd be very surprised if it wasn't The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Easily 300+ hours on it.
|
Probably Twilight Princess or Final Fantasy IX, I have 100+ hours on both due to trying to do everything possible in them
|
376 hours on Star Trek Online. Don't know how much Star Wars the Old Republic is not sure where to check for non-steam games. Would be a similar total maybe a bit more.
|
I don't even wanna know how much time I spent playing GoldenEye multiplayer. I can tell you it was everyday hours a day. For months.
|
Either No Mercy or Skyrim.
|
I have this thing Where I cannot bring myself to play games past 2:00 pm
because of that Ive spent hrs on Skyrim and haven't even come close to the main plot then theres all the modding. I'm almost two yrs into this thing no joke |
MMO wise, probably WoW... Single player, it's either Suikoden II or FF7.
|
3 months in game time played Asheron's Call
Been playing Lord of the RIngs online for 7 years this fall |
Fallout 3/Fallout New Vegas
Final Fantasy 7 Metal Gear Solid |
When it came out I spent 32 hour straight playing Final Fantasy III. But the game I have spent the most time on is Chrono Trigger ,between the SNES and DS versions I have months of play time in that game.
|
Def Football Manager. Spent like a million hours on the 2011 version.
|
Counter Strike
|
About 1000 hours on Star Wars TOR . Spread over a few different characters to level 55.
|
Probably Civ, then LoL.
|
Soul Calibur 3 for me easily. Chronicles of the Sword mode trying to get 5 characters to level 99 so I wound up beating the game countless times.
|
World Of Warcraft
Fallout 3/NV taking second |
GTA 4 by far. Several hours a day for about a year. And then some. Probably between 1000-1500 hrs.
Skyrim close second. |
oh shit, yeah...Skyrim. Dumped an ungodly amount of hours into that one.
|
Skyrim 123 hours for PC. Not sure how much for the 360.
|
Modern Warfare 2 - 474 hours
Black Ops - 116 hours Modern Warfare 3 - 101 hours |
For mmo Everquest 125 days played over 7 years
Single player, madden 2005 I used to play a few hours a day for a year. |
I've spent countless hours (long before Steam came out and logged said hours) playing various SimCity titles and Diablo 2. Tons of other guys.
Nothing will ever top the timesink that WoW was though. I remember back on my first account, around 2006 or so my /played (time spent logged into the game on that character) was over 300 days, meaning I'd spent pretty much a solid year out of 3 years of my real life in the game. That's when I sold my account because it was a real eye opener. Of course, I probably put in an equal amount of time since then because willpower what's that? |
NHLPA Hockey 93 for Super Nintendo. Played it today on my modded xbox.
|
Everquest
|
Anywhere from 4-6 months /played time in Asheron's Call years ago. Played for a few years.
Now? I'd guess I've put roughly 250+ hours into Dark Souls now if I were to go through all my characters and total up their time. |

all of which is to say - like rdd, this, too, will forever be the game that i poured the most time into, because there is just no time in my life that i will ever have the disposable time/income to play a single game like i did wow, a game that i have literally spent more than a year of my life, in total hours, playing. i still play it casually, so that figure will always stay ahead of any other game, but even if i never touched it again, i don't think i'd be able to replicate that kind of dedication to a single game. |
Either one of the GTAs or SSBs.
|
MLB: The Show 2012
|
MMO wise it's WoW for sure, non-mmo it's between Tyrian2k for dos/dosbox, Dragon Ball Z: Chou Saiya Densetsu(Legend of the Super Saiyan) for snes, and No Mercy.

That being said, I think WoD may be the first expansion I actually skip. Really not hyped for it at all tbh |
Neither am I, I'm likely skipping that expansion myself.

This will also be my first time skipping the expansion. |
When Elder Scrolls online comes out, I'll probably get way too attached to playing.
|
Diablo 2/LoD
Between the core game and expansion, I've easily logged 73 million years of real world time into those games. |
