I watched TNA tonight, here's my take

Lol TNA.

Shisen Kopf 08-14-2014 11:07 PM

Seriously though it was pretty terrible. 3/10

Shisen Kopf 08-14-2014 11:08 PM

Rather watch Cassat's Real Deal featuring MG Hurst. Now that's nonstop action. Totally.

road doggy dogg 08-14-2014 11:08 PM

Yeah I don't like him. Wish MG Hurst would just end him.

Spud would hands down dont see what all this MG Hurst talk is about but Spud would win

Nowhere Man 08-15-2014 04:06 PM

I don't think I've genuinely enjoyed a TNA show from beginning to end in at least a year (and it would probably be longer than that if I had been watching before becoming part of the TLP podcast). There are parts of it I like-- mostly just the X Division and EC3-- but generally it's an unpleasant chore.

Thankfully in another month or so, that won't be an issue anymore.

I love how they have to hold the ladder for him.

, I love how every more is executed and taken wrong

Anyways, as far as Impact goes.... this wasn't one of the better episodes. I really didn't care for the "nostalgia" of seeing the Dudleys vs the Hardies again, Gunner vs Anderson was pretty forgettable (I watched it earlier and cant tell you one thing that stood out about that match), the Women's match was :-\ and the six man kept Lashley looking like a strong and credible champion (so good on TNA for doing that), and the less said about Storm and his intentions with a tied up half naked Asian man the better :shifty: My personal favorite part of the show was the interaction between Bram and Magnus and Abyss
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/TCPTU-yJkms" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Bram just comes off soo over the top (the facial expressions, movements, his voice, and that little thing he does at the 15 second mark.... gold) Abyss and Bram are both trying to top each other trying to see who can be more cartoony and just when you think one of there heads are gonna explode, here comes Magnus with the slick talking that just brings the whole segment together

Sixx 08-15-2014 06:46 PM

Pfff, apparently TNA has no dental.

guy ive worked with for over 10 years and spent a good few weeks over the years on holiday, has never ever watched wrestling,
came into work the other day and randomly started talking about wrestling on freeview and how amazing the hardys and Team 3D match was,i,cannot explain how mind blowing this was,to us, this is a,cat that thought the attitude era was "a bit too daft for him"

I was actually looking at Abyss's hands while he was counting off the weapons and thinking, wow. My hands are pretty jacked up, broken fingers and knuckles that never set right, plus all the scratches and picking because of my OCD, but I could be a hand model compared to his :wtf:

The whole thing with Bully Ray going to great lengths to put Dixie through a table has been fucking awesome. And the moment when he finally did it was so well done. It was intriguing because we're all so used to WWE's PC wrestling that a woman getting put through a table by a guy seemed like something they would try to get out of the story without actually having happen. And then at the end when she was finally surrounded it was like "Oh shit... he's actually gonna do it."

Who is Bram wher'd he come from?

Black Widow 08-17-2014 03:18 AM

My take is James Storm is the only guy in TNA i find entertaining.

Bram is former NXT wrestler and Ascension member, Kenneth Cameron. He's Magnus' friend from back home in England and he is a psychopath.

SlickyTrickyDamon 08-17-2014 05:59 AM

I figured he'd have to be a psychopath to batter a police officer.

Just one of many guys (see also: DDP, Muhammad Hassan, Kennedy) who had every potential chance to be WWE/WHC in WWE, but were victims of circumstance...so sad.

Used to really enjoy the weekly PPV's.

AMW vs Triple X feud was money. Was also shocked at how good D-lo actually was, when allowed to go all out.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-17-2014 11:09 PM
