THE RYBACK

Bad News Gertner 10-27-2014 11:56 PM

I hope he Shellshocks Ambrose, Rollins and Cesaro all at the same time.

Bad News Gertner 10-28-2014 12:10 AM

Lol can't wait for more discussions about how Ryback isn't over

I'm excited to re-start the STD debate of whether the Usos are more over than Ryback has ever been.

#1-norm-fan 10-28-2014 12:37 AM

I'm keeping my expectations low though because WWE is run by people with the mental retardation.

Lock Jaw 10-28-2014 12:39 AM

RYBACK RUUUUULLLEEESSS

Looks like they are going for a memory re-set. Re-debut for Ryback. If he had gotten super over he wouldn't have been turned heel and de-pushed.

Good start for him. Hope he does well. Still doesn't change the fact that the Usos have been consistently over longer than him.

#1-norm-fan 10-28-2014 03:16 AM

lol. STD never disappoints.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-28-2014 03:24 AM

Think that was the first match he never got a Goldberg chant in.

He should go back to being from "Sin City" if he's a face.

Shisen Kopf 10-28-2014 04:34 AM

ATTENTION: from the makers of the workrate-o-meter 1000 comes a new invention that I have been using today: The Overness-tron x69. I have been entering in the info all afternoon and it gave me an overness score for the Usos of 78.5681916 which is good. However, THE RYBACK attained the most over score in a very long time with an overness score of 99.268936292 so that proves it, he's more over than the Usos. Science.

Disturbed316 10-28-2014 04:43 AM

I really enjoyed face-bulldozer Ryback, hopefully that's THE RYBACK we have back.

Shisen Kopf 10-28-2014 07:23 AM

They need to bring back Barry Stevens, the greatest jobber on Earf, for his rematch.

Innovator 10-28-2014 07:42 AM

Fuck Barry Stevens, I want Stan Stanski

Shadrick 10-28-2014 09:02 AM

Great reaction for Rybacks return. I don't slobber over Ryback as much as some people here, but I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what they do with him. It will be interesting to see how he will be received when he's not up against a heel that was as amazing as Punk was, that people just wanted to see get killed.

Rammsteinmad 10-28-2014 01:18 PM

Loved when he was one of the most over guys on the roster. It'll take some work to rebuild him, but I hope that's what they do.

Damian Rey 10-28-2014 04:08 PM

I'm glad they hit the reset button on him. And I'm glad the live crowd ate up his return and had no issues with getting behind him.

Hopefully they don't blow it this time and keep him strong. Feed him Rusev at Mania after Rusev takes the U.S. belt.

WAKE UP

#1-norm-fan 10-28-2014 04:42 PM

The crowd never doesn't say "So" when they say "U" though!

A+ promo, beat explanation of a face turn since Saving Private Ryan

Mr. Nerfect 10-28-2014 06:53 PM

It makes perfect sense to turn Ryback back into a babyface. The heel turn was a bit of a blunder at that point in time, and they're low on big faces. He's matured a little bit as a performer (working with Curtis Axel helped with that, surely), and I think he can be a bit more compelling now. And that promo did indeed rock.

Fignuts 10-28-2014 06:53 PM

Yeah, that's honestly refreshing that he explains it rather than coming back and being like hey I'm a good guy now, like every face return ever.

Mr. Nerfect 10-28-2014 06:57 PM

It makes him sympathetic and likable too. Plus it connects all the dots in his character.

Droford 10-28-2014 06:57 PM

Ryback should come out and go "feed me borscht" cause he's gonna get fed to Rusev

Mr. Nerfect 10-28-2014 07:17 PM

Could see Ryback being the guy to beat Rusev, to be honest.

Bad News Gertner 10-28-2014 08:03 PM

There's no reason why Ryback shouldn't be World Champion within a year.

Damian Rey 10-28-2014 08:14 PM

That promo was great. Far better than anything golden boy Reigns has pumped out. It was candid, and came off extremely genuine. Great step for his character. Now push this big mother fucker to the moon and start printing money.

There's plenty of reasons why he won't be though

Bad News Gertner 10-28-2014 08:31 PM

Ugh, unfortunately you're probably right.

Damian Rey 10-28-2014 08:58 PM

They have a legitimate opportunity. Guy was as over as anybody and didn't feel shoehorned into the main event when they moved him there against Punk. He has the look, has gotten better in the ring, is not an awful talker if not potentially underrated. Keep building him up, let him tear through the mid card, give him a US or IC title run going into or out after Mania, and see what you've got with him this time next year as a potential top guy.

Hell, there's a built in feud with everyone's favorite rival, Seth Rollins. The Shield was the beginning of the fall for Ryback.

Bad News Gertner 10-28-2014 09:03 PM

Face Ryback vs heel Sheamus would be a fucking amazing feud.

el bobbo 10-28-2014 11:02 PM

"But what about Curtis Axel?"
-No one.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-28-2014 11:50 PM

Good start for Ryback on the road to rycovery.

#1-norm-fan 10-28-2014 11:51 PM

If only he can get as over as The Usos.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-28-2014 11:54 PM

Maybe Goldberg should show up and say "this Ryback guy is better than me you should chant Ryback at me."

Heisenberg 10-29-2014 08:49 AM

I like the fact that he interacts with the fans during commercial breaks when he is awaiting the match or opponent to come out. I don't know if he does this as a face, but I remember a string of shows I went to with him heeling it up with fans

Lol I remember them coming out week after week on NXT and Superstars and feeling bad when they'd try to get the crowd to say "OS".

Shisen Kopf 10-29-2014 01:15 PM

Maybe RYBACK could be as over as the Jimmy/Jey connection if he came out saying "when I say RY, you say BACK" maybe then he will finally get over.
