Brock Lesnar vs. Batista
Better Physique: Brock Lesnar - He has bigger traps and pecs, he doesn't have those hideous veins popping out all over his chest, and his arms are bigger. However, Batista is more well proportioned.
Strongest: Brock Lesnar - Rob Van Dam said once that he was one of the strongest guys he ever wrestled. He can easily toss guys like Big Show, Rikishi, Mark Henry, A-Train, and Taker around without breaking a sweat. We have yet to see Batista prove himself to be more than just a big physique. During that battle royal on Raw Batista seemed to have trouble spinebusting Kane. Best Wrestler: Brock Lesnar - His moves are more impressive and he seems to have a better grasp on ring psychology. |

I love Batista. |

But..and this is a huge but....Batista actually loves his job, while Brock just looked at wrestling as a means to an end. So while Brock is more talented than Batista, at least Dave is still around. |
That's one match-up I would've loved to see. Can you imagine the carnege these two would've created as they attempted moves on each other?

Either that, or clumsy Dave would've accidentally broken Brock's neck... |

Batista's good and very entertaining. He's got a limited moveset, but they're good, and he doesn't botch them.

He's also MUCH better on the mic than many "big men." For example, remember when he talked to Flair about getting the tag titles back from Edge and Benoit? And then he went out and was the best part of that tag match. He's starting to use the Spinebuster as his finisher right now, which is great on SO many levels. 1) It's not a powerbomb. 2) It's being established as a credible finisher right now. 3) It's a nod to the fact that he's basically the Arn Andersen of Evoltuion. And hell, that spinebuster on Kane last Monday was absolutely swank, especially since it came after a huge sequence of chokeslams. |
Batista has improved. But he's 35. How much more improvement can we expect? At this rate, he'll be in the main event scene for maybe a year.
And until he cuts a promo without growling or screaming, his mic work is OK, but nothing special. |
Batista is getting better. I liked his short fued with Austin (even though Austin is a legend, and at that point, anything Austin did was gold, I felt that Batista carried his wieght in that angle). They need to get Batista more than just the 4th member of Evolution. Also, another problem is that there are so many big dudes in the WWE, they can't all be bad asses or monsters like they should be. But at least they are thinning out those ranks, what with Mark Henry, Scott Steiner, Bigshow, Goldberg, and Brock Lesnar...also, is A Train doing anything right now?
|
It's not like he's been wrestling for a long time - he started training 5 years ago. He can stay around longer than most could.

Let's play a game of trivia.
Round #1 Who has a contract? 1) Brock Lesnar 2) Batista 3) The Ginger Bread Man 4) Triple H's Grandmother Whoever can get this correct should win a special prize. IMO, Batista wrestles, Brock doesn't. That's enough said right there. I also don't understand where you get off comparing Lesnar to Batista. Their careers were/are nothing alike.. |
BTW, even if he only gets one year in the main event - who cares? Most of WWE only gets short 3 month pushes in the ME then get thrown down to the midcard.
|
Brock can wrestle. Dave kinda does fu</>ck all.
Brock sucks on the mic. Does Dave actually speak? Brock looks kinda goofy, Dave's a generic hoss. Brock is trying to be an NFL star. Dave's still "wrestling." 2-1 Lesnar. Point 3 is a tie, no points awarded. |

A bit about Batista's age... if he did improve to the point of meriting a main event push, he could basically go DDP's road and have a good few years as a main eventer even though he's getting up there in age.
I wouldn't see any problem with his being too old if he could still perform well. |
I'm not so sure, Batista's becoming quite a credible monster in the ring. Brock, on the other hand, is already an established.....oh wait, I forgot. He QUIT.
|
Brock'll be back.
Batista's credible as a monster til you see him in the ring. |
I know Vince lurves his big guys, but I think that Batista is way too far down the list to hit main event level.
If he gets given the IC Title, then he should be happy at that. Plus, I'd probably be able to take him more seriously if he wasn't caked in about 12 layers of fake tan. |
I'll rather a well proportioned man over a bulked up one anyday
... wait a minute :| |

But i understand that he's the "Enforcer" of Evolution but he is no where near what Double A was. |

Wondermouse didn't say that Batista was as good as Anderson, he was just stating the fact that he's in the position of Evolution that Arn was in the Four Horsemen. HHH is "Flair," Orton is "Blanchard," and Flair and Batista are "Ole" and "Arn." Same formula, just different players.
....except for Flair. |
Yeah, HHH isn't as good as Flair, but there're a ton of similarities.

Brock is miles ahead of Batista in every aspect of wrestling.

How about you stop telling me how to post, and shove the petty "bite your tongue" bullshit up your ass.

Batistas 35??? Fu</>ck me I didn't think he was that old. I thought he was just like Brock and Randy Orton like early to mid 20s
|
AmiAnnoying.com called Batista "a family man".
