Wrestlers Who You Just Don't "Get"
 

The other day I had a conversation with a fellow wrestling fan who sang the praises of Lance Storm as if he were some missed main event opportunity on par with Chris Jericho, and it seems that that opinion is fairly prevalent within the IWC.

However, I just don't get it. Dude wad ok, but he was behind guys like Val Venis and Raven as far as I'm concerned. He was a decent mid-card mechanic, and that's about it. I do not, nor have I ever seen any reason for the Lance Storm IWC love affair. I enjoyed him with the Impact Players, though.

You fellers have any wrestlers who seem to be held in high regard by wrestling fans that you just don't "get"?

Eddie Guerrero Dean Malenko and Tito Santana. Especially Tito Santana.

Lex Luger, the dude was awful.

I get Dean and Eddie but after watching a bit of Tito I gotta say I don't see the appeal either. The dude is bland as it gets. His promos are laughable you hear other wrestlers talking about how they are gonna win while Tito always says something to the effect of "I'll do my best!"

Abso-lutely. And people always get pissed off when I say it. He's just there for me. He's good, but I never bought him as more than a decent Intercontinental tier worker.

Chis Benoit, I always found him to be super boring and robotic. Only time he ever showed any emotion was in June 2007

Daniel Bryan

Scott Steiner. I have no idea why so many people have such boners for a guy who's the clear avatar of douchedom.

I kind of get why people like Lance Storm, what I don't get is why people think he could be a main eventer/world champion anywhere.

Eddie in Mexico was Eddie at his best imo.

Him and Art Barr were just freaking awesome. that whole Los Gringos Locos faction was really great.

Bugsy McGraw for one.

I just don't see anything about Bugsy that was entertaining at all. He makes me cringe whenever he comes on my dvd's/blu ray's.

Lol the Bugsy McGraw/Jimmy Valient tag team was the worst thing I've ever seen

Totally forgot to mention Bray Wyatt in my original rant. Dude's mic skills are ok in that he never stumbles or flub lines, but awful in that they are non-sensical and he has no other gear than "vaguely confusing Bayou jibberish." His in ring work is the epitome of average and his gimmick is straight out of 1995 WWF New Generation era.

sure they aren't flashy.

if you like two pure athletes wrestling they are some of the best. however their matches are more comparable to collegiate style or something rather than Pro.

Dory and Terry are night and day. Terry could do it all.

Not a fan of his style of promos which is either him being randomly angry at something or doing a monologue on stuff.

Just seems so terrible and does/did nothing whatsoever to garner his reactions post-ECW.

I never saw him in ECW, but he pretty much just coasted on it for his whole career, and I just don't get it.

Rob Van Dam is probably the biggest one for me. I also have to be honest and say that I don't really enjoy Bret Hart matches too much.

<font color=goldenrod>Alberto Del Rio bores the fuck out of me. Good wrestler no doubt, but I just have found it really hard to stay invested in him at all.

Maybe it's a bi-product of how he was booked in 2011. Once he lost at WM27 I feel like nearly all the interest I had in him was gone. Even when he actually won the title it was just "eh"</font>
