Would wrestling be different if they got a TV deal?

So I'm watching the Amped Anthology PPV and I'm looking at all the guys who were in GFW who have now "moved on" to WWE (Bollywood Boys, Anderson and Gallows, Mickie James, Curt Hawkins, Bobby Roode, Eric Young, etc, etc). So my question is, let's say hypothetically GFW did get a tv deal when they did all these tapings (I think it was late 2014/ early 2015). Do you think it would of Impacted (no pun intended :shifty:) the world of professional wrestling?

Very nominally.

Not at all. Being realistic, it wouldn't have been on a major network so it would have just been another TNA. None of those names would have made a difference.

The workers arent the reason promotions fail. People are fed marks. Right now the company is populated by guys who were all under other banners at one time or the other doing exactlyt the same deal as theyt did then. TNA/ROH/PWG/CHIKARA/etc but these brands will never catch fire because no matter how much lolWWE is produced its the only thing over in the countrty. Brand loyalty is a huge reason the others fail... while theyve made blunders theyre no larger the the fed makes...and yet...

So no, it would have meant nothing

Not really. Maybe ROH and TNA/Impact gets a bit more TV competition but wouldn't do much in the bigger picture.

Jarrett picked a really bad time to shop around for a wrestling show since networks still didn't want to spend big money on wrestling. WWE not getting a huge deal hurt smaller companies and TNA/Impact not getting a decent deal hurt everyone again.

I don't really think so, probably would have eventually mergered with TNA anyway.

No, they would have gotten a shitty tv station and deal that wouldn't really help them. Same as TNA but worse.
