You then go down to Rollins, Rusev, Taker, Orton, Braun, The New Day, Nikki Bella, Balor and maybe Alexa Bliss.

If Taker is on the list at all and you're not just omitting him for being a part-timer or something then he's top 5 without a doubt.

Taker's significance is overrated.

We're talking popularity though. And outside of Cena, Lesnar and Ronda, no one on the roster comes remotely close to him.

I don't think he's that popular. And he's nowhere near a hot-button issue as anyone else in those top five. Although I did forget about Bryan. I'd put him in that top bracket somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

There's probably more Taker fans who don't even watch wrestling anymore than there are people who even know who AJ Styles or Roman Reigns is.

I think there would be more people that have heard of Taker than Reigns or Styles, but I don't think you can call them "fans" if they don't give a shit about him anymore.

I see your point, don't get me wrong -- but I think we are measuring popularity by different metrics. Wrestling was far more popular a long time ago when Taker was around full-time, but he's never gone away and its popularity has dwindled. He was rarely ever a draw. When you're talking about current wrestling fans' favorite wrestlers -- who are the most influential merchandise movers, etc. -- I just don't think Taker would take the cake. I've put him in there because he gets nice reactions and he's a legend, etc., but I just don't think you're going to be selling the circus with him anymore.
