I think I might have got more right than I thought I would, but on the other hand they could also be wrong. Either way, definitely not doing so good on this one.

Meanwhile, though the decade in question is within my lifetime, I didn't really care all that much outside of the gimmicks and personalities. Wrestling was just entertaining and something I could emulate with toys and/or my older brother. last 2 questions were very hard.... I googled the name of the band who sang the song I was thinking of, as there are likely many songs with the same title.....

The WWF used to use regular music all the time until like 1986. All their shows/segments used actual music (Piper's Pit, Saturday Nights Main Event, WWF Championship Wrestling etc...) There's a ton of choices.
