Coming up to the best part of The Thing. Wilfred Brinley ( Diabeeetus ) had the best part in the best movie of all time. Remember that folks ..

Half way through the movie, Childs was missing They could not find Blair! Blair may have been the only one of the only one sane in the gruup.

Final thoughts:

Childs is The Thing at the end. McReady knows it. Chlds knows that he knows it. They take a swig of whiskey out of respect for eachother. The Thing ( Childes ) realizes the last person her can take over is McCready. After that, his life span is over. That's why I think Childs ( The Thing ) strolls up on McCready so non Chalant.

Childs is for sure The Thing. But McCready is the last specimen he can take form. He's in not hurry, That's my take on the ending of The Thing

Love The Thing so much.

The 2011 prequel is fucking tragic.

I disagree. I'm actually impressed that they played off the original. First viewing i felt like you feel, but after seeing it again, I really liked and appreciated it. I can see how it's hit or miss for some though.

No I liked the movie itself. What I mean is that they were originally supposed to have all practical effects like the original. They even made a bunch of them and the effects studio has a bunch of videos of it on their youtube page.

But some piece of shit exec from the studio walked in and told them to cover everything up with CG, because people wouldn't like practical effects in 2011. Asshole.

But anyway you can tell how much the people who made it love the Carpenter film, just from the attention to detail on lining everything up with what we see of the base in the original.

If I had one legit complaint it would be that the characters aren't as strong as the ones in the carpenter film. But it's hard to compete with a lineup like that, so I dunno if it's even fair to compare them.

Ya the practical effects from the original are still to this day, some of the best you'll ever see.

My biggest complaint about the prequel was the ending when she killed the dude. I stil dont like that. I get it, but i feel like it could have been done better.
