Mass Effect Trilogy : Legendary Edition

I'm 25 hours into Mass Effect 2 and this is already becoming one of the greatest game series I've ever played. It took me 36 hours to beat Mass Effect 1 and thats because I looked for and did every quest i can find ( as Paragon ). I loved it. Loved the lore. Loved talking to people. Really REALLY love the Codex. I ended up having sex with Ashley after her a Liara made me choose between them. I was actually bummed out that I hurt Liara's feelings. Bummed out about a video game character's feelings lol.

Mass Effect 2 is great so far. I dont like that they took the ability to swap armor and weapons and mods on the fly any time. Going to a weapon locker sucks. But everything else they've added is fantastic. I do kind of miss the Mako. I wish that instead of taking the Mako away and taking the exploration of the planets away, they should have added more to the planets. More buildings or places to go and check out. I actually enjoyed driving around on the Mako.

QUESTION

Has anyone played Mass Effect : Andromeda ? I'm probably going to buy it. I've heard mixed reviews.

Tell me what you think about the Mass Effect Trilogy

Story and characters in Andromeda are lacking compared to other entries, but the combat is the best the series has had.

If you liked the exploration in ME1, you'll probably enjoy Andromeda, because that's pretty much the whole game.

I like the exploration of the cities the most. Like in ME1 there was the Citadel, but so far in ME2 there has been Citadel, Omega and Iluim. It's one of my favorite parts of the game.

Andromeda has couple cool cities.

I just bought it on Amazon for like $7. I think it's worth the play.

I feel like modern day games dont make AI as good as the squad mates in ME1 and ME2.

For that price, definitely. It deserved most of the shit it got, but overall, people made it out to be a worse game than it was. There's still a lot of fun to be had with it.

Thanks Fignuts.

Andromeda was a solid game. But BioWare were absolute assholes when they did a couple updates to Multiplayer and literally walked away from it. It had tons of potential for DLC stuff for the main game. Played through it twice and snagged my Platinum on PS4.

Mass Effect trilogy in general is great. But they fucked up the conclusion. And I'll just leave it at that.

I dont care about multiplayer. I'm all in on single player.

Wild as it sounds, the Multiplayer in Mass Effect 3 was a ton of fun. Probably deserted at this point. But if it's still got some kind of community, you should try it.

is andromeda flawed? YES. but you should be able to find a copy cheap enough that its worth your time. its.not unplayable. its just FAR from what was easily one of the best trilogies ever made. most of the technical issues have been patched out too.

fuck for that price its worth playing twice

I think if it wasn't called Mass Effect, it wouldn't have gotten half as much shit thrown at it. Hell, given how loosely connected it is to the main trilogy, it could of been its own ip.

Love the ME trilogy. First game where I felt real attachment to the characters.

The ending to 3 is botched something fn fierce so don't get me started on that but up until then 3 was still fantastic.

Andromeda is a poor man's ME. Its....fine. Nothing special but I enjoyed it enough that I was glad I played it.

Fignuts 01-03-2022 09:36 PM

I played 3 after they had already patched it yo add more closure to the ending, so I never had that disappointment with it.

Frank Drebin 01-03-2022 09:42 PM

It was piss poor dude.

Bunch of reports came out about how crazy good the story was going to be but they were forced to push the game out and had to go with what they had.

drave 01-04-2022 07:42 AM

Andromeda is the only ME game I never finished out of lack of interest.
