Interesting choice of franchise to fuck up but I’m interested enough to see exactly how he manages it.

Fignuts 07-13-2022 08:53 PM

Yikes

Destor 07-13-2022 09:17 PM

It looks shockingly faithful...which isnt really good 70 years later

Seanny One Ball 07-15-2022 04:41 AM

The characters seem faithful, the colour and presentation is nothing short of appalling.

Also I think I saw Jackie Earl Haley in there and if that’s so, how fucking far the mighty have fallen.
Ugh.

Well this is probably for the best. A lot more people will stream it than would have gone to a theater to see it. No, and Sherri Moon needs to not be in his movies. She's annoying as fuck.

Destor 07-19-2022 12:50 PM

I like her

XL 07-19-2022 01:58 PM

At least she’s only in his films.

ClockShot 07-19-2022 02:26 PM

Rob could have easily taken the Addams Family route with this when that went to the big screen.

Looks like he chose not to.

Blonde Moment 07-19-2022 08:17 PM

i imagine being such a big fan Rob has to be pretty gutted about this

Seanny One Ball 07-20-2022 05:59 AM

Rob Zombie is a bad movie maker and only fans of bad movies enjoy his body of work.

There is no argument to be had about this.
Anybody who approved it must now make the fiscally responsible decisions that earn whatever they can from this sure-to-be shitshow.

You don’t recast Herman Munster.
That was a role for one man.

drave 07-20-2022 09:08 AM

It's like you took those straight from mah head.

I think 'The Devil's Rejects' is alright.

I don't think he's made a good film outside of that, certainly not that I've seen. His films generally come across to me like a bad impression of someone else's much better work.

I will watch pretty much any slasher film and I hated his Halloween so much I refused to watch the sequel. I've set thru a Uwe Boll film in the theater and made it through Gary Busey playing a serial killer trapped in a gingerbread man's body before so that really says something.

drave 07-20-2022 10:54 AM

Goreporn and tits. That's Rob Zombie's movies in a nutshell.

Seanny One Ball 07-20-2022 12:12 PM

Slik just dying to slam Rob Zombie and also Uwe Boll and The Gingerdead Man.
I barely had to ask.

How the hell did everyone get the idea that The Munsters cost 40 millions dollars? Fuck, I wish I had that kind of budget.
To put a little perspective on it all if you add up the budgets of Halloween 2, The Lords of Salem, 31, 3 From Hell and The Munsters all together it wouldn't even add up to 30 million.
Also the movie was never going to theaters or Peacock or Paramount. It was always being made for Netflix which is fine since it is the largest of the streaming services. This was done way before I ever got involved in the project. I have no control or say over this type of stuff. This is a Universal deal.
But the internet loves to invent rumors which somehow turns to facts so the fans can get all bend out of shape.
None of this actually matters but thought you might like the real story.

Wasted money is wasted money.

No matter the actual number.
