Arn Anderson is an idiot!

- Some of you may be wondering about the whereabouts of Rob Van Dam on this week’s SmackDown. We got word he was originally scheduled to be on the show but his segment was bumped off. Sources say that Arn Anderson called for RVD’s segment to be replaced by Billy Gunn and Hardcore Holly, citing that they get better pops when they come to the ring… yes, he did say exactly that according to once source. So, RVD along with the FBI were written off the show.

That ******!!!

Screwed in Raw, screwed in Smackdown... Poor RVD. This is one of the reasons why Smackdown has been a major toilet break for most viewers.

Goldbird 06-04-2004 10:50 AM

I treat it as a nap.

Nowhere Man 06-04-2004 11:14 AM

Getting a pop from a house crowd for 5 seconds is one thing. Actually making them want to buy tickets or PPV's is quite another. When's the last time you heard anyone say "Ooooh! Hardcore Holly's gonna be there? I've gotta get myself a ticket!" Granted, you don't hear too many people saying the same thing about RVD, but the Human Higlight Reel (or was that Sabu?) has a much better chance of drawing in crowds than the guy who beat up that one kid in Tough Enough and the gay guy who used to team with Road Dogg.

To give Arn credit, he's at least trying to give people what they want (judging by entrance pops, anyways). Unlike the people behind the scenes on Raw.

If Arn Anderson Fu</>cks with RVD, I'm gonna be pissed, swear a lot, post like crazy, and the end result will have no impact on Arn Anderson whatsoever. :'( :(

Next person to here to be a a Smackdown event, try starting a "Fuck You Arn" chant. :y:

"Fuck You ArnFuck You Arn"

^ LOL.

Corkscrewed 06-04-2004 12:31 PM

Well, RVD did show up late, so that could have been a bit of punishment as well. Just to be fair.

Azriel 06-04-2004 12:35 PM

Yeah, I think it was a punishment thing. Nothing other than that.

PureHatred 06-04-2004 12:46 PM

What Corkscrewed said. In general, the job of the Road Agent is to keep the wrestlers in line. if you show up late, this is what should happen. When you accidentally bust peoples' mouths open, management doesn't like the idea of pushing you. I like RVD. And he has been misused in some instances. But he certainly hasn't helped his case with his lack of professionalism.

sensai86 06-04-2004 02:06 PM

???????????

tucsonspeed6 06-04-2004 02:18 PM

The whole "they get better pops" thing is a load of crap. I'm sure there are bookers on Raw saying the same damn thing about Trips: "Oh, we put him in every main event because he gets so much heat!" ....now that I think about it, maybe Trips says that about himself. Does he have booking rights?

The CyNick 06-04-2004 02:22 PM

WWE doesn't like to make their punishments public, but thats what this was. Anyoen who would seriously agrue that Holly and Gunn get bigger pops than RVD need to have their heads examined.

Although, its worth pointing out, they shouldn't make decisions based on pops.

You mean like giving Eugene main event because of his pops?

John la Rock 06-04-2004 03:20 PM

old Arnie needs to get his head examined. What a fucking moron

Boondock Saint 06-04-2004 04:01 PM

I don't recall seeing Holly and Gunn on SD this week though...:?:

Rob 06-04-2004 04:18 PM

Never liked Arn anyways.

Corkscrewed 06-04-2004 04:38 PM

Well, if you're not supposed to be public about announcements, then obviously using an excuse (albeit a lame one) would make sense, wouldn't it?

Geez, fellas, lay off the poor guy.

PureHatred 06-04-2004 04:46 PM

Seriously, if we'd read something like "Arn Anderson makes announcement to Smackdown locker room that RVD won't be on the show because he's a tardy sack of crap" there'd have been a bigger backlash. And RVD would've been publicly humiliated. Thia was the 'safe' way of punishing Rob Van Dam,' while still getting the point across.

The One 06-04-2004 05:28 PM

I guess this isn't a great time to say I liked seeing Gunn... :shifty:

Since I was at the show I can honestly say I was disappointed that RVD wasnt there :(

But the FBI worked with Gunn and Holly, and they did get a decent pop, but I think RVD would of got a better one. :)

There is never a "great" time, nor ever a RIGHT time to say that.

Londoner 06-05-2004 11:07 AM

Bullshit. RVD should be on the show instead of billy gunn and hardcore motherf-uckin' TV time hoggin' Holly, they only ever use RVD when they want him to sign a new contract and they pretend they have big plans for him, but then when he signs it he gets de-pushed again. I think he should leave and go to TNA, personally.

CBright7831 06-05-2004 11:09 AM

Welcome to TPWW, newbie.

*gives a psotive rep to help him start off*

Ol Dirty Dastard 06-05-2004 11:19 AM

Yeah I don't buy that original statement. Clearly punishment.
