pet peeves about wrestling
 

i know wrestling is scripted and all but there are some things that get to me as being too fake. ill start off.

heel clotheslines face, face stays down. face clotheslines heel, heel gets right back up.

I hate that a chair shot can knock someone out in a regular match but in a hardcore match you can hit someone 10 times and barely hurt them.

I hate when people get knocked cold by acoustic guitars. They're fn' hollow. If a wrestler can take repeated blows to the face, and slams to the mat, an acoustic guitar shouldn't really hurt all that bad.

Uh, maybe an acoustic guitar made of balsa...

I hate that Bradshaw hasn't been fired yet, I hate that Bob Holly wasn't fired long ago, and I hate that WWE hasn't hired me as a writer yet on $250,000 a year. (plus expenses, of course)

How do the technicians know to have the guy's music ready when he's going to interrupt a promo?

Why can Jericho put the Walls on Trish because she deserves it, but Kane can't chokeslam Lita without being a bahgawdsonofabitch?

How does Jim Ross still have a job, for that matter?

How come none of the women have made complaints about Jerry Lawler saying 'puppies' and other sexist remarks on a continuous basis?

How come Trish's tits never bounce out?

Why do they consider Jazz a diva, when she's plainly too ugly to be photographed?

How come Kane wasn't fired for setting JR on fire, or for tombstoning the CEO of the company?

How come Ric Flair never makes it down from the top rope without assistance?

How come Kurt Angle never got Big Show charged with assault or GBH for throwing him off of the ledge?

How come Cena always has time to fit in a rap before his opponent comes out, and more to the point, why does Cena always come out first?

How come HHH is in the main event when the World title is on the line in another match?

once they showed matt hardy backstage before he was about to interupt a promo, and he said to one of the people in some room "hit my music, i'm going out there"
I guess that was their attempt at an explanation to that question

What i hate the most is predictability and interferences/disqualifications ending 90% of non-payperview title matches, thats' all i can think of, i'm sure there's a lot more

I hate it when the ref is always standing right behind someone when they are about to get clocked, and you can tell that the ref is gonna get hit instead.

I hate it when something big like interference happens at the end of a Raw or Smackdown that causes a big match to be a no decision, and nobody even seems to care.

I hate the fact that its always the Spanish announce table that always seems to get wrecked, poor Hugo Savinovich and the other guy :)

I hate it when the refs in WCW would have their backs turned and Jeff Jarret would clock someone with a guitar and peices of wood would be all over the place and the ref turns around and doesn't DQ Jarret for that. I mean, the evidence is right there! Damn you Nick Patrick! Damn you!

I hate how the ref "Doesnt see" a face's tag when they DO tag, but when a HEEL team DOESNT tag, it's legal...

I hate how people stay down for minuites for the People's Elbow, then LOSE...

Same w/ the 619...

I hate when there's always a Barbed Wire 2x4/bat or tacks are "conveniently" placed under the ring...

I hate how they dont always show Iron Man Match clocks... You never know when the add a little time to it...

I hate how Austin could drink on the job...

Finally... I hate the brand split :mad:

the real question is: Why can't Jericho put the -real- Walls of Jericho on someone, but Shawn Michaels can?

another one of mine is mentioned above. refs always stop faces from coming in during tag matches but heels run in at will.

I always hate it when the heel cheats and gets away with it but when the face cheats either another ref comes out or the ref asks for a replay instances that ticked me off on this was,

Dunno, I'm not really bothered by the mechanics of the show too much.

I hate how people can't reaize that without the brand split, guys like Orton, Cena, and Benjamin would be restricted to Heat, and Benoit and Guerrerro would more likely be the first tag team to land on the moon than World Champions.

tag matches piss me off...they're always the same.

Faces and heels lock up.
Face dominatges for about the 1st 3 minutes, heels gets a cheap shot of some sort. Heels dominant face. face makes tag to other face who clears the ring. match becomes a shambles.
Then a heel cheats to win, or a face win cleanly.

I hate it that on SmackDown: HCTP, when you pick HBK or Flair as a ref, they get knocked out really easily and get up like 5 years later. But when they arent refs, they dont get knocked out so easily

I also hate it when Flair is a ref, and you do his taunt (the one where he falls face first), he gets knocked out. But when he isnt a ref, he doesnt get knocked out.

I hate it when people balme children getting hurt because they were "infulnced" by pro wrestling to emulate their favs when the parent can't come out and say "Yep, I fuc</u>king suck as a dad, I should cut my nuts off now."

Why can Angle stand with a cast on when 'his wrestling career is ruined, he has no sex life'?

How on earth did Angle change clothes with that cast on everyday?

Why does Johnny ~insert surname~ change his name every 3 weeks?

I hate how Ultimo Dragon was hyped up for months then forgotten.

I also hate it when a heel attacks a diva he is a no-good son of a bitch but when a face attacks a diva she deserved it.

I hate how JBL & Bob Holly have had main event runs this year but Sean O'Haire and Chris Kanyon have both been fired.

I hate how Jericho's title run was a joke.

I hate how the CW division is also a joke.

I also hate when Jarrett hits someone with a guitar behind the ref's back yet it makes a big noise and there are bits of the guitar all over the ring yet the ref still doesn't DQ Jarrett.

The Liontamer was discouraged by WWE because it legitimately wrenches the neck of whoever's in it. Guys like Rey Mysterio and Dean Malenko could take it easily, but in WWE, Jericho's putting it on bigger guys like Triple H and Christian.

Obviously, Benoit's a bit smaller. Also, it was a bit of a reference to Benoit's japanese history. Benoit used the hold before Jericho ever did - in fact, he used it in his 1995 match vs Jericho.

I read "Have A Nice Day", but I must have forgotten that part. I'm mainly talking about Jarrett's guitars, they just look so hollow and cheap.

I agree with what everybody else said but I have some more:

I don't watch TNA but in WWE and WCW I hate how Jeff Jarrett even has a guitar. Like seriously, who would intentionally bring a guitar to a fight?

I'm really getting sick of JR and King's routine. Bring back the Brain and the Body!

I've been sick of Kane since his mask came off.

I've been sick of Kurt Angle's "Olympic Hero" crap for the longest time, he just annoys me on the mic.

I hate most women's matches. A women's match to start off Raw? Come on now...

I'm sick of HHH. I was a fan, but he is always on TV and NEVER changes.

I hate tag team matches right now. I'd rather see four guys thrown together than watch an actually tag team against somebody like Beniot and Edge.

That reminds me, I hate Edge's gimmick, what is it anyways? His spear is awful.

A Diva search? Remember the days when there was only a couple pieces of eye candy insteady of every show? I love hot chicks but the interest dwindles when they're constantly around (man I miss the days of Sunny).

I'm sick of this GM swapping on Smackdown.

I'm surprised how there's two world champions and people don't complain.

I hate how underneath the ring is a hardware store...

I hate how no one ever questions why there arn't fights between Lumbjacks in a Lumbjack match...

I hate how all faces and all heels seem to get along...

Another thing that bugs me is when somebody gets whipped into the corner and his opponent (usually a face) goes for a shoulderblock/tackle the other guy moves and his shoulder gets smashed into the fatal ring post. Besides RVD does anybody ever connect with a shoulderblock in the corner?

i understand some of the things under the ring but why are rigged breakable tables put under the ring :)

They aren't rigged.

It's a legit table, it's just really cheap. It has been said that on the outside of the ring the table takes a good ammount of impact from the body before the body can crash onto the floor with no give.
If you want to buy a real folding out table thingie you'll notice a center brace, made of metal, which is used so the table can support weight.
Next table you see in the ring, it won't have that.
Anywho, onto more of what I hate....

I hate how the WWE would be nothing without Vince yet he's a total asshole.

I hate JBL.

I hate how a move like... I don't know... The Tombstone can be done for well over 10 years but when Vince's son-in-law gets "shaken up" by it they ban the move no matter how many times it has scared the hell out of Mick Foley when he was about to be drilled onto the mat.

I hate how wrestlers can get arrested and then have all of their legal problems reloved in a week.

I hate how when a wrestler has a choice to make they're usally given a weeks time to make it.
