Do you ever go to independant films?
I've become more aware of them lately, what with a friend of mine staring in one. The University played 4 short films and I really enjoyed them. I'm hoping this is something I can get a chance to see on a regular basis.
What about you people, are there places that showcase independant films and what are your overall opinions of them? |
Independent films are the best, so yes.
I have been watching a shit load of them this summer. NYC plays every single movie released in theaters, so it's good for me. :y: |
Since I am in Buttfuck, Michigan I get absolutely nothing.

Although I love independant films (along with independant wrestling and music) it's very hard for me to see them as we only have one art house theatre and it only plays one movie at a time. Every once in awhile though I take the go train up to Toronto if it's a movie I really want to see.

I'm not going to lie, I do not. I doubt they even show them within three hours of my house anyway.

I live in a pretty big city, not LA or NY but still good enough to get some good ones. I see independant films much more often than Hollywood ones.

Everyone we get here, but that aint a lot.

When I get the chance absolutely.

This year I've seen "City of God", "21 Grams", "Touching the Void", "Lost in Translation", "Amores Perros", and "Better Luck Tomorrow" in a theater. Most were just in my college's auditorium (which is why I saw "BLT" and "Amores Perros" so late), but I still went. "21 Grams" was crap, "BLT" was okay, and the rest were great.

Yeah, they're usually far more interesting.
