Guy Ritchie vs. Quentin Tarantino
Basically it's Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels vs. Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and Kill Bill. For me this is a really tough decision.

Tarantino
At this point I've only seen Pulp vs. seeing Lock Stock and Snatch so I won't vote yet. Wouldn't be fair.
Guy Ritchie is a wannabe Tarantino.
Tarantino, easily. |
Quentin with ease.
Guy Ritchie because of Swept Away
Lock Stock and Snatch are great but KB, PF, RD and JB are hands down amazing.
Tarantino takes this. |
Tarantino. I like Ritchie minus Swept Away, wish he'd do more like Lock Stock
Not too hard.
I'd have to go with Tarantino because Snatch and Lock, Stock were so similar. A couple of Tarantino's movies have the same feel as each other too, but he has done some different stuff. In other words, if there was more from Ritchie that was a little different than Snatch or Lock, Stock, I'd probably go with him. So anyway, my vote was based on variety instead of overall quality.

Snatch is like one of my favorite moves ever but QT is money all the time so I'm saying him
Tarantino though both of them fucking rule.
Ritchie for the rewatch. Out of QT's movies, the only one I can really watch over is Pulp Fiction... As far as Richie goes, Lock Stock and Snatch are both gold.

Snatch was good shit, tho. |

Guy Ritchie is an overrated dickhead. Lock, Stock was ok, but his other version of it (Snatch) was shit.
I love both of Richie's main movies, but c'mon, you can't compare the 2, it's just unfair. Tarantino by a landslide.
Although Reservoir Dogs is my favorite of either directors' movies, I gotta say I like Guy Ritchie over Tarantino. Partly because I don't really care for Tarantino's current scene-flashback-current scene-flashback technique he's done in just about all of his movies (I haven't seen Jackie Brown, so I wouldn't know about that one), but mostly because I like Ritchie's camera work a lot better than Tarantino's.
Plus, Ritchie's movies are more fun, because they blend all the mobster ugliness with some really funny stuff. Tarantino's flicks are rather nasty and abrasive in comparison. Either way, both guys rule. |
Because Ritchie made "Swept Away," Tarantino got my vote.
Tarantino hands down
Guy Ritchie's movies are, imho, more watchable than Tarantino, other than Swept Away which was a piece of shit.
But because hes only made two movies its hard to pick, but I'll go with Ritchie. Has anyone seen the TV show based on Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels called Lock, Stock? Its some good shit. |
Tarantino easily.
Tarantino. No comparison.
I really liked LS&TSB but Tarantino has a longer track record and was the standard setter.
Tarantino, though Lock,Stock and Snatch are both quality flicks
Tarantino, no thought involved.
I didn't even like snatch or lock stock that well. |
Tough call really, although Ritchie's style is an emmulation of Tarantino's, Snatch and Lock Stock... are better movies IMO.
Tarnantino. I love his movies.
Lock Stock and Snatch were ruined by mates of mine constantly saying lines form the films. |
Ritchie is good, but nowhere near QT.
