John Tenta given 13-18 months to live
 
Here is a message posted by John "Earthquake" Tenta on the WrestleCrap forum:

Well, I don't know how to say this other than I've NEVER been kicked in the balls as hard as I was last Wednesday. Thinking I was licking this thing I met with my chemo doctor ready to 'Quake the cancer. Well..... I now have a new tumor in my left lung, and two lymph nodes are enlarged in my heart. I go in for chemo tomorrow for a 4-day session.(The beginning of many) I've been given 13-18 months to live. I'm not giving up, and hope to of course live longer, but that is what I've been told, and that it is incurable. I don't really know what else to say, it really caught me off guard. I'll try keep you posted, but no guarantees folks. Thank you for all your kind support, and may God bless you all.

Awfully brave of Tenta to come forward and reveal this information to everybody on the web. I wish Tenta the best of luck through his chemo therapy and hope that he can make a fast recovery.

I'll never forget how he was the first wrestler I ever saw treat fans like they were on the same level as wrestlers and not just annoying marks.

yea, he's a really great guy. Just go on the wrestlecrap boards and see how he is very polite and respectful to everyone and takes time to answer people's questions.

That blows... why do things like this have to happen to the really nice and cool guys? I really hope he can overcome it. The mind is half the battle, and he's definitely got the right outlook, as well as the heart, to beat this. If anyone deserves it, it's him.

Damn, tenta is a nice guy, i really hope he makes it through. shit, my buddy cracky, his uncle ray was told he had 6 months to live, that was in 2002, guess what, he still alive today

Damn....some of my fondest memories of watching wrestling as a kid were watching 'Quake. Such sad news....he'll definately be in my thoughts and prayers.

<font color=cyan>At first when I read this, I cried. Quake was half of my fav tag team back in the day. Then I realized that doctors said that I had only a few months on this earth... and that was damn near 20 years ago. Docs also told my buddy who got hurt in Iraq that he wouldn't be able to walk, and he was on his feet a few days later, walking within a week.
But to be on the safe side, I'll be praying for John.
