John Tenta given 13-18 months to live
Here is a message posted by John "Earthquake" Tenta on the WrestleCrap forum:

"Well 'Crappers i know you've been waiting for an update so here it is. The silence was due to the fact I was moving into our new residence a couple weeks ago. Well, I don't know how to say this other than I've NEVER been kicked in the balls as hard as I was last Wednesday. Thinking I was licking this thing I met with my chemo doctor ready to 'Quake the cancer. Well..... I now have a new tumor in my left lung, and two lymph nodes are enlarged in my heart. I go in for chemo tomorrow for a 4-day session.(The beginning of many) I've been given 13-18 months to live. I'm not giving up, and hope to of course live longer, but that is what I've been told, and that it is incurable. I don't really know what else to say, it really caught me off guard. I'll try keep you posted, but no guarantees folks. Thank you for all your kind support, and may God bless you all.

Awfully brave of Tenta to come forward and reveal this information to everybody on the web. I wish Tenta the best of luck through his chemo therapy and hope that he can make a fast recovery.

Damn....some of my fondest memories of watching wrestling as a kid were watching 'Quake. Such sad news....he'll definately be in my thoughts and prayers.

At first when I read this, I cried. Quake was half of my fav tag team back in the day. Then I realized that doctors said that I had only a few months on this earth... and that was damn near 20 years ago. Docs also told my buddy who got hurt in Iraq that he wouldn't be able to walk, and he was on his feet a few days later, walking within a week.
But to be on the safe side, I'll be praying for John.

Really sad that its happening to such a great guy. Hopefully Tenta will pull through, I'll also be praying for him.
