Microphone problems
 

Can someone help me with this....

I use a headset sometimes when I play multiplayer games, for teamspeak and all. There is a microphone. When I speak into the microphone yeah you can hear the voice and all that good stuff.

Couple days ago I got up to get some ice tea and I tripped over the wire that the headset plugs into the USB audio device or whatever it is, and it totally became unplugged, so I plugged it back in and ever since then the microphone does not work. I tried unplugging it back in and all, and when I go to sound recorder to record my voice it doesnt work. The lines dont move or nothing, its like its on mute, but when I go to sound control and all that it does not say mute or anything, the volume is turned up as well.

Anyone know what the problem is? Should I buy a new mic or something? Thanks to who can help.

if you have more than one usb port, try plugging it into other ones.. some of my usb ports got broken like that =\

Also possible you damaged the cable when you tripped over it. Quite easy for something to come loose inside the plastic...
