And they Finally Figured It Out. LOL

Pat Patterson went on the road with RAW brand House Shows recently, a story we made mention of a few weeks ago, and wanted to see what was going on with the product so he could make changes and report back to Vince McMahon - as it is no secret that Patterson is one of McMahon's most trusted advisors.

After his trip with the brand, Patterson reportedly told McMahon that the biggest problem with the RAW brand right now is that Triple H is on top and dominates too much of the shows at the expense of other characters. The general feeling is that if more characters and storylines were developed and able to get over with the crowds, the product as a whole would improve and get stronger.

It will be very interesting to see if these recent comments by Patterson get through to McMahon, as it is common knowledge just how much power Triple H truly holds in the WWE today.

Man, millions of smart marks have been screaming that shit out for like a year and a half.

On a side note.......it was all because of <s>Alex Steele</s> Pat Patterson.

BREAKING NEWS:

Pat Patterson was found dead tomorrow morning, though no cause of death was given, eyewitnesses on the scene reported that it seemed as though someone had jammed the first ever Intercontinental Champion's head between his legs and plowed his face into the ground.

McLegend 10-07-2004 10:08 PM

It's so true. Just look at Orton holding the title for a month. RKO was supposed to win, but HHH wanted to win that's bull.

Oh no. Poor Pat :shifty:

Bout time they figured this shit out. Its obvious to even the most casual WWE fans.

Xero 10-07-2004 10:14 PM

Finally someone in the company spoke up... I bet this is how it went:

Pat: Vince, I have come to the conclusion that Triple H is taking up too much show time....
Vince: I'll look into it...
(Ten minuites later...)
Vince: Then I said "I'll look into it"!
Triple H:

Aussie Skier 10-07-2004 10:30 PM

I'd say it is the major problem right now.

Not so much that HHH is still dominating, but rather, no one else is getting a chance. I have no problem with HHH main eventing at times...but, to the best of my knowledge, he has been in every main event this year (except summerslam), and every main event last year too.
The glass ceiling b'ween the Kliq (Michaels and HHH) and guys like Jericho, Orton, Edge, Christian does make wrestling become boring. and the new era of wrstling will not begin until these guys are pushed into the ME arena on a consistent basis

Good for Patterson.

I'm sure he'll do well in TNA.

Well, only took 'em two years. How long do you think it'll be before the WWE Think Tank finds out Hulk Hogan isn't that great of a worker?

BigDaddyCool 10-08-2004 02:33 AM

They could be doing worse guy...just think if they had a mainevent with Bradshaw vs. Hardcore Holly.............I'm saying Raw could be worse, Smackdown couldn't get much worse....unless Hardcore wins the belt.

Innovator 10-08-2004 02:40 AM

If Patterson went to Smackdown he'd probably have a heart attack

Corkscrewed 10-08-2004 03:21 AM

LOL. Well, cya later Pat. I'd make a joke, but Coldwaver beat me to it.

Yeah, I had heard that one considered name for their first conventional PPV was "Sunday Night Sausage Fest."

Then it turned out that McMahon already has a copyright on that one... you know, just in case. :shifty:

Yeah.

He was the only one who passed the physical examination :shifty:

Well, that and he was the only black guy around who just so happened to be named after a rival booker / promoter....

I dont think this story is 100% accurate, and given the source I'm fairly certain it isn't.

First, why would Patterson bad mouth the Boss (HHH) to Vice-Boss (McMahon)? Thats not exactly a smart way to stay employed very long.

Second, I dont get how going oin the road to house shows made Patterson think HHH is a problem. If you rerad reports from the live events like I do, you'll notice that the cast majority of them say HHH got the biggest pop of the night, or drew the most heat. Reason for that is he's the biggest name the WWE has on the road right now. The people who paid for the tickets will always pop for Hunter becaus eof his star power. Its just like Hogan, Hogan will always get the biggest pop of the night, but he wont necessarily be the biggest draw.

Third, on most house shows, HHH only has one segment, which would be the match he's wrestling in. So again, I dont get how Patterson would draw these conclusions from house shows.

All the problems HHH causes are on live TV for everyone to see. He takes up too much time on TV, they haven't made a new star since he's been on top, and he doesn't increase buys, live attendance or TV ratings. Again, all of these things I could tell Vince, without going on the road for any period of time.

Like I said I think old Davey had a slow "newz" day and decided to create one of his famous stories. But I could be wrong.

One superstar, who did not wish to be named, said 'There's some bumps in my arsenal that only Pat Patterson knows about'.

Dark Kane 10-09-2004 01:25 AM

Pat Patterson walks into McMahon's office...

McMahon: Pat, welcome, my good man. What's up?
Patterson: HHH is taking too much TV time and he's holding the bigger stars down.
McMahon: Isn't that the whole point of his character?
Patterson: But I was browing internet wrestling message boards with so many users hating HHH for it, so I decided to pass it along to you.
McMahon: what good will that do? :-/
Patterson: Here's the deal. If you give HHH lesser TV time and push him back down to the midcard, give younger superstars a chance to get more TV time and I garuntee dam tee you Vinnie Mac that the WWE will get a strong high point as it was back in the Attitude - Stone Cold vs. Vince days.
(Vince's eyes lighten up and he smiles) :)
McMahon: That's not a bad plan, Mr. Patterson. I will discuss this matter in a meeting with the WWE Crew, you can join us on the meeting if you want. I'll let you know when the meeting is.
Patterson: Thank you Vince.
Patterson leaves. Vince is still smiling in his office liking the idea.

..........

So anyways, yeah, Pattersons fucked. Now he's probably got Stephanie and Hunter mad at him and you know Daddy's little girl will get in Vince's ear.

What with all of Hunter's Nazi-related logos, this situation is reminding me more and more of Hitler's regime. Have fun in Siberia, Pat.

Afterlife 10-09-2004 03:34 AM

Nazi-related logos?
