According to Chicagobusiness.com entrepreneurial pro wrestler and best selling author Mick Foley has signed a radio deal with Chicago-based UBC Radio, which distributes syndicated radio shows.

The two sides had been in talks for several months. UBC CEO Brad Saul says Mr. Foley’s show will be broadcast in at least 50 markets.

Mr. Foley, a three-time World Wrestling Entertainment champion, is author of two best selling memoirs, a novel and a children’s book. Mr. Saul says the talk show will cover a wide range of topics, including the gap-toothed wrestler’s left-leaning political views.

“He’s a renaissance man,” says Mr. Saul. “It should be a great program.”

Mr. Saul says he expects to find a Chicago station for the Foley show—which will launch next year— within a month or so.

Since launching last year, UBC has assembled a stable of programs that include talk shows for sex expert and Chicago Sun-Times columnist Laura Berman, television’s Judge Greg Mathis and listings program from TV Guide.

Most of UBC’s deals are revenue sharing arrangements, in which the talent gets 50% of national advertising sales made by UBC.
